Saw this first preview on thursday.
Fourth in a string of amazing shows this year (Seven Acts of Mercy, Snow in Midsummer and Hypocrite) comes another corker.
It's shallow and paper thin on plot, but it's brilliantly acted and fabulously staged.
Cast work hard and produce some great laughs. The set and costumes are over the top and the jokes come thick and fast.
Don't go expecting Shakespeare or Ibsen, but if you want a good laugh deffo.

A bit gutted I missed The Hypocrite now, so may try and catch this if it's on for a longer run.

This is an excellent summer show. End of the pier stuff. In a good way. Could be chopped by about ten minutes and maybe add another song and dance.

Hadn't heard about this before but looks fun and I notice that Kim Hartman, the divine Helga, is in it - now I'm seriously tempted to make the trip!

God it's just pathetic Along with everything else Theatre in decline They are so desperate they have to give tickets away Imagine if Chanel gave away a free bag to people who don't have any items from them This is is a gimmick Does NOT lure long term loyal theatre goers And would not be necessary if theatres staged proper successful shows which were sold out |

Isn't the issue partly that most theatres always sell significant proportions of their tickets in the days and hours immediately before each performance, and in very hot weather that market collapses?

I think offering a first timer to see Titus for free would put them off for life! Ambitious to put on in main theatre as difficult play. The other two plays again limited appeal and without a name to entice.

Went to see this tonight, with Prince Charles in attendance, and the theatre was full, although how many of these were in on £10 or free tickets I don't know (I did comment to my husband I wonder if Charles paid £10 for his ticket!). There were certainly a lot of young people there which is not that usual on a Monday night. A good fun evening at the theatre, although Shakespeare it ain't, more Up Pompeii. Sophia Nomvete as Dexter was excellent and at first I thought Kim Hartmnan wasn't going to have anything to do but she came into her own in the second act. Slight audience participation at the beginning and a few times throughout and if you sit in the front row of the Stalls you might get your "portrait" drawn!
