I think it's just quite odd for a play to come back so soon after it's first run(s). Presumably will need new cast, rehearsals etc - you'd think if it had that much demand they would have tried to stay open longer the first time round or move quickly to another theatre while the buzz was still there around it.

I know what you mean, although there is precedent for this sort of quick return with plays to a different theatre - The Audience, The Father, Curious Incident etc. I suppose ATG needed a show and maybe felt that this hadn't exhausted its potential lifespan last time round.

There is still a link to it on the ATG site if you Google 'Oslo and 'Playhouse'. Maybe the on sale has been held back to the New Year.

Sorry to see this wasn't included in the NT's press release today.
I didn't see it last time round and would like to. Hope it's still lined up for the Playhouse in April - does anyone know?

Is this still happening? With word on another thread saying Fiddler on the Roof is expected to go to the Playhouse, I'm curious about timings?

Where was that mentioned Daniel? It’s on the Dolly thread. Thank you. I wonder if Oslo has just postponed if Fiddler's going in? Hope so.

I get why you'd cast Andrew Scott and Ruth Wilson, they're both hugely talented, well known, will bring people to watch and probably are great, it's just a bit saturation and think I'd rather see someone else get a go. And no of course actors have no control over when things are broadcast so often when you seem to see a lot of a particular actor they could have filmed the things across years.

I mean, I'm the type of guy who'd LIKE to be over-saturated by Andrew Scott... or just a little bit saturated, if I'm being really honest....

I saw the play (final performance in London) and although the performances were stellar - I felt very distanced. I think it's my fault for not knowing much about the history - so this would be a good chance to redeem myself!
