Didn't like this very much. Paper thin 2d obnoxious characters arguing for an hour and a half. Can't see what the fuss was about. It felt like someone watched a load of Doug Stanhope and Everybody loves Raynond then knocked out an extended short play full of padding and a tacked on emotional ending. A few walk outs through the show too.
I know it got good reviews though, just can't see why.

I saw this on tour because of the good reviews and was underwhelmed.
It is difficult I suppose to play an unlikeable female character (who is the catalyst for all the drama) without actually being unlikeable to watch. I am not a violent person at all but it took all my will power not to go on stage and slap her. I was longing for one of the other characters to do just that! I would have just told her to f*** off after 5 minutes but then there would have been no play!!!

This is the most inexplicable transfer since the last inexplicable transfer to the Haymarket

Regarding that mash up, the director's comments at the end are the sort of comment I'd expect from a child who thinks that being a fan of something grants them an entitlement to use it for whatever they want. It's not the sort of thing a professional should say.

I enjoyed it, well acted and thought provoking but nothing new to say Some of the monologues go on for too long and seem unbelievable On Wednesday night quite a few people gave it a standing ovation

Amusing in parts. Ailsa Joy gives a sterling performance.
Why has this been transferred, it seems, successfully? Maybe Meera Syal's plea is being taken to heart by other ethnic groups: it felt like half the audience was Jewish tonight. Are we witnessing the balkanisation of British theatre as the bastard offspring of unequal equal opportunities? Discuss.

I saw this earlier in the week and very much enjoyed overall. Plenty to think about afterwards.

Has anyone else been? I did enjoy it. It’s very shouty and not all that believable, but certainly gets the laughs and some from the sheer shock factor of what is said. Dress circle was closed though and stalls maybe 70% full.

Can someone update the title of this thread, I thought they’d bumped OFAH to make space for this 😂:I’ve had a raft of offers for cheap tickets to see this and haven’t been tempted, going by the previous comments here I’m not missing anything though.

Saw this tonight and was really unimpressed. Don’t think I laughed once! Just lots of shouting and screaming, which for me doesn’t quite make for good comedy, though the actors were certainly trying their best.
Took a while for the audience to get into it but lots seemed to be enjoying it by the end.

I'm seeing this on the weekend, but reading the comments on this thread I can't help but wonder why the Arts would prefer to have this over Bonnie and Clyde.
