I go by [title of show] rules for an original musical. Musicals have been based on external sources since time immemorial, but @snutte has a valid point here. I now have 'Original musical, an original muuusiccaaal' in my head. (Frankly as it's kicked Joseph and his Dreamcoat out I'm happy enough with that)

OK, we've agreed it's probably not an original musical
Anyone know if it's running in rep?
(sorry)

Is Alexandra Burke playing Adrian?

Oh wow - i popped into a meeting and appear to have started a war. I think we all knew what i *meant* by saying Original Musical, even if it might not be the dictionary definition anyway. I'm not sure i read any reviews of this in Leicester, but the word of mouth i heard was all very positive? As long as its sensibly priced and not Menier silly prices i'll be there!

Certainly not a war, just a healthy debate.

lol I used the word 'new' anyway. I'm chuffed a homegrown show from a regional theatre can make it to London, might encourage the rest of them to be braver. It got 4 stars in The Guardian, The Times and The Telegraph so I'm definitely checking it out.

I'm surprised Adrian Mole is having a run in London. I saw it in Leicester and left at half time. The audience in general seemed underwhelmed.
That said, most things I love shut early and vice versa so perhaps it'll be well received.

Well I for one welcome a new musical instead of endless juke box shows or revivals. When are tix out?
