There was a thread about attending this, and volunteering for this in the other place, so just as a reminder... The ballot for the last run of this show closes on Thursday (4 Feb) at 5.30pm - enter at www.bumbumtrain.com - tickets for this run are now £49. If you're interested in volunteering, I got an email from Al - whoever he is - explaining how to get involved.

I was going to enter the ballot again but was put off by having to provide details of my photo ID. In this age, I'm not too keen of peaople having my passport or driving licence number.

I'm hoping lots of people will have that mentality, would love to get a chance to see it. The email reminders to enter the ballot have been relentless so I'm wondering if less people have applied this time, could be wishful thinking!

And if you would like to be involved in it, I got this email: We are holding an introductory session tomorrow, Thursday 4th at 7pm - 8:30pm in the Bum Bum Train bar - 113 Charing Cross Road! Tell your friends, family, co-workers, distant acquaintances - the show needs 450 people a night so don't be shy.
The bar will be open for drinks after and all are welcome for a catch up!
Hopefully see you there,
Kate and Morgan

Quick reminder that this final season of YMBBT shows (in its current location at least) has begun its run this week. There will be 20 shows in total, twice a week, on Thursdays and Saturdays.
If you didn't get tickets, and want to volunteer there is still time. 400+ volunteers are needed every night. So, sign up, click online to say you are available for a particular date, and they will allocate you a general role. And there are still ongoing training sessions popping up on their site for some of the more involved roles, for which you need to rehearse or audition.
I volunteered for the first show last night (having done so once in the last run as well). Not allowed to describe it, but it was certainly a very surreal experience backstage last night, with strange groups of costumed volunteers wandering around, sharing Haribos, before rushing off to fulfil their roles. Enjoyed it just as much as I did the first time even though it was a completely different sort of role this time!
Have now realised that it's a somewhat addictive experience. Already planning several other roles to have a shot at, before this run ends. Oh dear, it's only a matter of time before I become an absolute luvvie and start hanging out with Kenneth Branagh.

I was a volunteer too on Thursday night. Down for this Thursday too and for Thursdays and Saturdays coming up. It's such fun!

Not sure if anyone here is interested, but in case you want to pass this on to anyone -
Hello
To end the show run we are holding our second Charity night of the show run on Saturday 23rd April. All funds raised through ticket sales will go to Freedom from Torture and Standing Voice.
Through our first Charity Night last December we raised £73,173.70 for WaterAid and Against Malaria and we would love to raise as much as possible this year.
We will be holding a silent auction via email, and tickets will be allocated to the highest bidders. Please email your bid to youmefundraiser@gmail.com before 10pm on the 21st April. There is no ticket limit so please specify how many tickets you want and how much you are willing to pay.
Tickets are now sold out so this is your last chance to see You Me Bum Bum Train 2015/16. The silent auction is open to everyone who wants to take part so please forward this email onto anyone you think might be interested.

I thought I had read that YMBBT was no more, but I see that they are looking for new premises for another run. Watch this space (well that space, being their website I suppose)

If that's so I wonder if it will be the same show as they normally have a few years inbetween

Spotted this in a job ad - which suggests a project coming up in early 2020...
'We are looking for a Production Coordinator to join our core team for a five-month full time contract position. Ideally we would like to start this position on late November 2019 - however this is flexible. There is also potential for contract extension'
