And has committed to co-producing three musicals at the Hope Mill in 2017. All of the theatre's in-house productions will be musicals. Very exciting. It's a beautiful theatre and if the quality of Parade is anything to go by we have lots to look forward to in Manchester next year. That's excellent news. It's a great little venue. I loved Parade and can't wait to see Hair.
The Manchester Theatre scene gets better and better.

I remember talking to Katy about Manchester theatre stuff a year or so ago and she said that there were many shows she wanted to produce in London but couldn't get the rights for, but the rights were available in the rest of the country, so it allows her to do shows she has always wanted.

She is superb, with her heart truly in the performing arts.
Seen her several times, lastly when she did a terrific production of Tommy at the Greenwich Theatre, I loved it - the Evening Standard didn't. When of us was wrong!

I read an interview where she said that The Light In The Piazza was top of her "most wanted" list to put on. |
