Had a crazy thought back to when I read this article:

What did happen to this? Got an amazing cast! Maybe it was replaced by Funny Girl?

Too niche, too seasonal, good decision to drop it.

I agree and can't see this working. Even Chichester who do the "older" musicals would struggle.

It has been dropped and I can see why to be honest.

ATG probably went ahead with Funnt Girl instead and that might be the reason this got dropped. Even though I loved the casting for it, Sheridan doing Funny Girl is probably the reason this didn't go ahead
