I can't see a reason to start shows later just because you'll now have Night Tube services. Now maybe some of the people who avoided evening shows because of transport problems will now reconsider their options. Trains in Sydney run on most lines until about 1am every day (when Night Bus kicks in till about 4am) and our theatre shows usually start 7.30 - 8 pm.
I remember being surprised on my first visit to London to discover the Tube didn't run longer hours. And not at all on Christmas Day!

The odd midnight matinee is fun but I am not sure I would want 9pm onwards start times to become the norm. For me, most of my theatre attending is post-work in the week. It would mean having to go home, then head back out for dinner and I know I would take a disco nap and miss the play
