Other musical flops were "Tess of the D'Urbervilles" and Dickens' "Hard Times".
I saw "Mutiny!" (don't forget the exclamation mark and the fact that Frank Finlay was in it) in an early performance where the set (ship) broke down and we were kept waiting for an hour for it to be fixed. The set was innovative, though, for its time, and had one reasonably good song: "Falling Angels Riding".
Metropolis is ripe for a revival.

Time magazine did a huge five or so page spread on Metropolis when it first opened, it had some amazing photos in it.
If we are talking flops we can't forget Time and Blonde ( the Tim Rice musical is that what it was called? Had the song " Running Back For More " )

Compared to most other shows mentioned, Time cant really be considered a flop as it ran for 2 years.
