A couple of posts relating to casting choices have been reported. Other members have responded to those posts politely and without name calling but stating their opposing thoughts on the matter.
Now that both points of view have been stated can we move on please. We’ve been around the topic of race and casting so many times there’s absolutely nothing new to say on it. Theatre has, for the most part, moved on.

Just the title alone makes me never want to see this. Why? It reeks of the Six-ification of every new show. I’m a little tired of it, there is no originality.

I saw Mozart last Sunday evening. It was an enjoyable entertaining evening and I was grateful to have the chance to see a new musical at very modest price. I felt the cast were fully prepared and gave it their all. Tech issues with lighting and mics were few and only momentary.
With perhaps a little trimming of act 1 the show could have a successful future, I'd definitely go again and not just to fill a seat on the cheap. I was near the back of the stalls and was unaware of any interval leavers, there was a partial standing ovation including me which the cast well deserved.
All that said I acknowledge that the Saturday show may not have been so good as the director called it a dress rehearsal, which I felt was a poor choice of words.
