This was a really special show. My hunch is they will reconfigure it for a proscenium and send it out on tour or transfer it at some point. Unfortunately most theatres' backstage areas are inaccessible to wheelchair users so not sure how that could happen... |

I think fundamentally because it’s a terrible show, it didn’t really have that much critical acclaim, people only really went as it was comped and it didn’t deserve to clog up a theatre for much longer. Yes, I would imagine word of mouth (personal recommendations), repeat visitors (it had some very loyal fans who went multiple times) and comps were the bulk of it's customers. I can't imagine it was the kind of show tourists would go to whilst in London. Im not your typical tourist but Ii did see TLBT on a day seat and wished I had time to return during my trip. I saw it on my last day. Soho Place is a new theatre and that affects attendance. I’m aware it’s more central than one would imagine. Nica should concentrate on presenting shows that are not opening cold, transfers and the like. I don’t believe Soho Place has had a sellout run so far. I found the theatre to be charming and the giant digital sign great marketing. |

Though I don't doubt there's a way to go on backstage accessibility, Ramps On The Moon theatre company have toured to the following, and this was only based on a quick look. Ipswich, New Wolsey Theatre / Sheffield, Crucible Theatre / Liverpool Everyman Theatre / Birmingham Repertory Theatre / London, Theatre Royal Stratford East / Nottingham Playhouse / Leeds Playhouse / Salisbury Playhouse. |

I imagine any theatres built in the last 15-20 years would be accessible like Curve, the WMC, Lowry etc

Orphans (new Scottish musical by NTS) managed to get a wheelchair-using actor onstage at the Kings, Edinburgh which at the time was notorious for poor accessibility. I assume there is some sort of arrangement they had ie, building a ramp from the auditorium and having changing space in the wings rather than in separate dressing rooms. |

I don't know if this passed me by but The Little Big Things is going to be on NationalTheatreAtHome. I'm glad it got a proshoot! Yeah it was filmed over two performances a few weeks before it ended. I was in the audience for one of them, look forward to seeing the result |

I suppose with them being publicly funded, they have an obligation to record other shows of note for the benefit of those who couldn’t see it and for archive. That’s my guess anyway… |

I just saw something on Twitter (X). Not too sure what it was, or if it was simply promoting the filmed version.

Just watched the Olivier highlights and I'm pretty sure Hannah Waddingham said this 'sold out in the west end'. That's not exactly how I remember it...
Anyway, their performance just reminded me of everything I didn't like about it. Well deserved win for Amy Trigg though.

Does that fact that this is going to be on NT at home mean that this show is now dead? As in it’s not coming back on stage soon? The NT Facebook seems to be more concerned with clips of these dead shows that things that are going to be on stage. And what’s worse is they just share these clips without any reason. It just means that someone can come across these clips, think ‘that looks interesting, I’d love to see that on stage’ and then find out they can’t. Things like angels in America which I’d love to see on stage, and I get let down every time they announce future shows.
