Last minute booking tonight. Can’t anybody advise what the view is like from CC29 - CC31? it's really bad

Last minute booking tonight. Can’t anybody advise what the view is like from CC29 - CC31? it's really bad How so? I expected a good view since these seats aren’t marked restricted view and they are almost top price.

I sat in row D 37 and 38, there’s a bridge which is permanently across the centre of the stage and it’s quite high , I could see the underneath of the bridge but also people on the bridge , but not too much happens up there, so I don’t feel I missed anything. From where you’re sitting I’d say you won’t miss anything at all, the whole performance is in the round , I’d say you’ll see everything , everything I saw anyway , and I loved it . Your tickets are a good price too. I hope you enjoy !

I saw this on Friday and thoroughly enjoyed it. The young cast were extremely talented and seemed to be having the time of their lives. I love Oliver! as a show, with one big song after another. The group numbers had so much energy and joy, while the darker moments captured the menace and threat needed. The staging in the round was brilliant in some places, with the audience feeling part of the action, and less so in others with the inevitable backs of heads while trying to perform to each side of the theatre. Overall, a really brilliant production and well worth the travel from Scotland!

Shame this one won't have a second life as it's brilliant (and that's from someone who is generally skeptical about musicals). The basic staging works really well. Cast are uniformly top notch. If you haven't seen it then well worth a trip to West Yorkshire in the 3 weeks left.

This is a very good production...the problem is it's a very good production of Oliver, which now joins the list of 'classic' musicals I don't need to see ever again. There isn't a single likeable character, even Nancy if we're being honest.
Jenny Fitzpatrick can certainly hold a note. I was a little concerned the roof was going to fall in by the end of 'As Long As He Needs Me'.
This is how Fagin should be played from now on.
The in the round staging really works.
Excellent sound design and mixing. I was central, but almost at the back, and everything was crystal clear.
Leeds Playhouse must have filled its coffers over the last two months. Extra seats, full houses and a small adult cast.
Credit where it's due. The Box Office happily printed me out a paper ticket, and there are still ushers to show you to your seat. They even have torches for latecomers. With a child-friendly 7pm start, there were quite a few, including the mother and son next to me. Shame they didn't arrive closer to the end. I might have enjoyed the show more!!!

Why do characters have to be likeable? Because we spend 2 hours 40 minutes in their company. Just my opinion, of course.

I agree. There has to be at least one likeable or at least identifiable character or you have nobody to relate/empathise/root for. This was the problem with ‘Saltburn’ for me. Everyone was really quite unpleasant.

What's wrong with Oliver? What's he done to make you not like him, aren't we meant to be rooting for him to have a better life? Also what's wrong with Mr Brownlow? To me the are some likeable characters.

Mr Brownlow is one of those people who thinks he can buy everything and everybody, waving his bedsheet sized £5 notes about.
Sorry to be so controversial. It is just a musical, and this is a very good production of it.

Fantastic show- wonderful and talented cast and brilliant staging in the round. Thoroughly enjoyed it. However we sat on the back row of section GG at one side of the large bridge structure and it really impacted on our view. We couldn’t see about a third of the stage at all our view then got even worse during the scenes set in Fagin’s den. Some props descended from the ceiling and completely masked our view of most of the rest of the stage. I would imagine that this affected the back few rows in my section. The people sitting next to us were closer to the bridge structure and had an even worse view. They were angry and said that they had not been informed about the restricted view when booking- and paying full price. love in the round productions, enjoying seeing how creatively the team can present the performances but it really felt like our little bit of the auditorium had been forgotten! It felt like lots of the action was focused focused to the audience at the other side of the theatre. I might sound like a bit of a moaner but I saw another post about restricted views and the poster was shot down. I just wanted to redress the balance and say there were some problems with some parts of the theatre. I loved the production- it absolutely deserves all the plaudits- but my enjoyment was spoiled by the view!

Oliver's 'arrival' was a suggestion of the imaginative joys, both grim and light, that lay ahead. A magnificent, intelligent production.
