Crystal ball time -- any chance of this extending? Our travel plans are a week later. Would love to see this. Two week extension until 17 December just announced. Thanks for the heads up, dave B. Much appreciated. Tickets now purchased!

This seems to have sold quite well and now the performance I need to go to (matinee on Nov 8th) is sold out. The Other Palace seems to have a strict rule on no returns. Does anyone have any smart ideas/insider knowledge about the chances of getting a ticket for a sold out show there?

I have emailed them this morning asking what the best way to get returns is!

Further update I messaged them and they will add you to a waiting list for a particular performance and give you a call if anything comes up.

I called the Box Office and managed to get a ticket for the performance I wanted. They also offered me the chance to go onto a waitlist for a ‘better’ seat for that performance, as the only one I could buy immediately was in row N. I just wanted to get it sorted but the staff were very friendly. I suspect they run a tight ship.

Saw this last night - really enjoyable and a real treat to see these two actors up close in something a bit different. The play itself is lovely - reminded me a lot of Tom Wells' work - though perhaps tried to cover a bit too much ground (the segue into climate change and 15 minute cities was unnecessary). Also agree with a previous poster that it would've worked better as 90mins straight through.

So lucky to watch lan Mckellen and Roger Allam from the front row of such an intimate space. Ben Weatherill has created a really compelling, yet touching, play about aging, love and friendship.
Frank and Percy is a gentle piece of theatre - but scratch beneath the surface and you find some gems of one liners, as well as a biting sense of humour. Played across a series of 22 scenes, McKellen and Allam are so intricate in their portrayals.
I can absolutely see why McKellen said in a recent interview that Weatherill would love to write for Coronation Street. So many of his cleverly crafted words and conversations could have just as easily been written for Blanche, Norris or Evelyn!
The set is minimalist but makes use of the The Other Palace so well. I'd say don't miss the chance to see McKellen and Allam up close and personal in this but it closes this weekend and is inevitably sold out.
Four stars.
