Excellent adaptation by Richard Harris ("Outside Edge" etc) of a Japanese original - the first I think I've ever seen - about a comedy writer confronted with a military censor. A two-hander (outstanding performance by David Tarkenter) the play delivers a lot of laughs, and if in the last analysis it feels perhaps a little soft-centred post-Pillowman, well it is a comedy first and foremost and as such very enjoyable.
