For me, the Mind Mangler was the least funny section of Magic Goes Wrong, so difficult to see how they've stretched this to a full show.

Looks like this is touring after its West End run. It's Manchester bound in May.

There were 2 or 3 venues they should have visited last year & had to cancel when Peter Pan Goes Wrong went to Broadway which they promised to come to later. I know Bath was one of them, can't recall if Manchester was. So at least part of a post-WE tour will presumably be going to the cancelled venues. Audiences have only had to wait about a year!

They went to Salford last year instead of Manchester and those dates at The Lowry went ahead.

Considering seeing this on Wednesday. My ten year old loves their stuff and has seen Goes Wrong and Peter Pan live, and the BBC series. Does this have any blood/gore/accidental dismemberment? I’m trying to work out if it’s as suitable as their other stuff and I am not sure how the magic goes wrong.
(Also, this seems to have very good availability. Any thoughts on whether they’ll discount/best way to get good seats at a better price than currently on TodayTix?)

Went to see this last night. Top two tiers closed, I suspect everyone had been moved down. I think it was only the second preview so maybe it will warm up. It’s the weakest of the Mischief shows that I have seen. Mildly amusing. No blood or gore.

It was no more than a mildly amusing part of 'Magic Goes Wrong' so I'm amazed it's been spun out into a full show.

To those who have seen, is it quite slapstick?

No, I wouldn’t say it was slapstick.
I saw a poster for this on the tube today and I noticed that one of the actors was different. So, turns out Jonathan Sayer was not on as the stooge.

I saw this in NY and it was the weakest of the three Mischief shows that played there last year (Peter Pan, Show Goes Wrong and this) but I’m still happy I saw it.
Not much slapstick. But a 10 year old should be okay seeing it. There’s more audience participation and some of the adlibs may be a little suggestive but not too bad.

Saw it last week and really enjoyed it. For me it was the best part of Magic Goes Wrong - how tastes differ ! Lots of audience particpation and some actual magic tricks. Agree a 10 year old should be fine with it. Not really slapstick more dame like .

Given Henry Lewis has said in interviews that he's been keen on magic since his childhood, I suspect it might be at least partly due to his personal keeness. Even with MGW, when it did its second stint in the WE after being interrupted by covid & rewritten he was one of only 2 of the original cast to return to the show, so it feels as if he must really like it.

Saw this last night and I found it very funny!
Yes I overheard one of the stage hands talking to an audience member behind me planning the next gag - but it didn't matter to me. It probably adds to the humour more than anything 🤣. If you like Mischief then you're going to like this a lot. The audience were very receptive and laughed more than I've seen them laugh before.
