The theatre has most recently been home to the musical of Only Fools and Horses. Cohen said that, while musicals were not "ruled out", the primary focus would be on plays in the future. For 2023 and 2024, Cohen said that this is likely to focus on limited runs rather than open-ended productions. |

I had a look this morning, it seems it is not selling very well. Pity, this was one of the best plays I have seen this year. And I could list many overrated, long, boring plays (NT included) that are sold out.

Early days. Wait til the advertising, media appearances and word of mouth kicks in.
The Pillowman didn't seem to be selling for ages, but is now really picking up.
I also remember being really surprised that the transfer of The Doctor didn't seem to sell for ages but it was packed when I saw it towards the end of the run.

I absolutely LOVED this at the Lyric Hammersmith.
Really curious as to what (if anything) they've changed to adapt the play for the much larger Haymarket stage.
Not entirely convinced (yet) that it is worth the current ticket prices just to go and find out if there's much difference or not.
Really looking forward to reading the reviews once the Haymarket run begins.

Really enjoyed this last night. A lot funnier than I expected, but also covering quite an important topic. Sad to have missed this when it was on at the Lyric, but glad it got the transfer. Shame it doesn't seem to be selling amazingly - the Grand Circle/Balcony section had maybe 3 people there and they might even have been associate directors there to take notes during previews? The audience who were there seemed to have as great a time as me though so hopefully sales pick up!

Does anyone have a full playlist of the songs they play at interval? I caught Roxanne by The Police (clever!) so am assuming they’re following a theme here. Fantastic show, definitely deserves a bigger audience and what great audience reactions! Daniel Rigby is a real talent for his back-and-forth antics, I wonder what energy drink he’s chugging before every show.

After missing out on both the original Sheffield run and then the transfer to the Lyric Hammersmith, I finally managed to get round to seeing thanks to a £25 rush ticket for tonight’s performance. I got M15 in the stalls and can’t complain at all with the view. A frantic paced 2 hour show thanks to some great directing from Daniel Raggett and I loved every minute of it and was worth every penny in my opinion. A really funny script was brought to life by the brilliant Daniel Rigby and the other cast members. There really are no weak links in this cast for me. Quite honestly, get a rush ticket just to see Daniel on stage. His performance is master class in stage comedy and he completely owns the stage with very little time off it. All the comedy landed - verbal, physical, and even musical that kept us all throughly entertained. There was definitely a sense of Daniel channelling Eric Morecambe in his performance. So if like me you like that style of comedy this show should be right up your street.
With the frantic madcap comedy in full flow, the breaking of the 4th wall on many occasions which for me worked really well in the context of this show and just put an extra layer of laughs onto a really funny show. With all the laughs, there is a serious undertone looking at the Police and society as a whole. Daniel Rigby’s Act 2 speech certainly hit the mark with the audience with many applauding its message and certainly gives food for thought post show.
With the loud sounds mentioned, it’s really in Act 2 (at the start with some music and near the end with a bang).that they happen. You also get some flashing lights as well at the start of Act 2.
Overall, I’m giving a big thumbs up for this show with a big recommendation for viewing.

I hope sales pick up because this in one of the more worthwhile evenings to be had in the West End. However, at the performance I attended they weren't selling programmes ( we'll have them by the end of the week ). How can Equity allow that to happen???

They need to up the ante in terms of the advertising and marketing. This deserves to do really well. Has this featured yet on Kuennsberg, The One Show, Sunday Brunch, Zoe Ball's / Graham Norton's radio shows etc?
Come on Playful, get it moving!
