What are the views like at the back of the Royal Circle (AB 1-4) and the Grand Circle side boxes? Going to try and convince my musical-phobic family to see it with me at some point next year!

It was a much more restrained audience than usual. No entrance applause for Hamilton and only a partial standing ovation at the end. I'm not sure this came across as magically as normal. There's always full standing ovation in the stalls and royal. Grand circle is just a different species

Gavin Spokes will be excellent! It is a shame he is on stage for so little of the show.

Jason isn't the only one of the original cast staying then, at least half a dozen of the ensemble have been there since the start!
Not a fan of Allyson or Sharon, though Trevor Dion Nicholas should be a decent Washington. Don't know the rest of the new principals.
Maybe I should try to squeeze in another visit before Rachelle and Jamael leave as I suspect I'm unlikely to go back next year - it had lost its magic a bit last time I saw it anyway.

I hadn't seen that date anywhere. Where did you find this info? Someone who works at the theatre told me. I’d booked for the 30th and they said it was the 16th. It would be good if someone could confirm it. 16th November it is then. Glad I got tickets.

Fab. Still just a load of great actors in a great show.

I saw Gavin Spokes in Company and he was excellent so I’m looking forward to his KG. Sharon Rose was my first Eliza and was brilliant when I saw her, I much prefer her to Rachelle Ann Go so I’m glad she gets to step up. I agree Trevor Dion Nicholas should make a fab GW.
Allyson Ava-Brown was never going to live up to Rachel John, she was such a tough act to follow, but glad she’s staying. I’m also glad Jason Pennycooke is staying, I love his Lafayette/Jefferson. I am really going to miss Jamael Westman as Hamilton, he’s been phenomenal in the role, imo, but I am looking forward to seeing what Karl does with it.
Also going on the 16th and can finally return my other November tickets!

Bit of a struggle thinking that next time I see Hamilton lots of those OG legends won’t be there. Y’know the ones that catch your eye with their slick beyond belief moves, bullet skills or pure harmonies. I saw that Jack Butterworth was announced for something but do we know where anyone else is going?

Jack's going to be playing Bobby Van Heusen in The Boyfriend, Tarinn is doing Dick Whittington for Hackney Panto, he's going to be a great loss to the show. Jamael has been v quiet (more so than usual) on social media so I suspect something quite big for him. Rachelle Ann Go and Jon Robyns are going back into Les Mis as Fantine and Jean Valjean. No idea about the rest.

Yep, Jack, Leah & Leslie are just so...I don’t even know what the word is...on point? Placed? Everything has an intention and its followed through to its conclusion; be it a movement, a line. I’m quite sure that the next gen of ‘men’ and ‘women’ will be equally as impressive but that is just what they’ll leave behind. Legacy...that’s the word I’m looking for, they will leave quite a legacy and a super high bar.

I'm not excited at all about the new cast. Most of them are not new anyway, they've been in the show for a while and they are getting promoted. I'm only mildly curious about Gavin Stokes as King George. Will probably go at some point but I'm in no rush to book as there's plenty of tickets available.

Out of interest: there are 10 principal parts in Hamilton. 2 people are staying. 3 are promoted from alternating/covering 5 new are joining My English might not be correct but my maths skills tell me that 5 out of 10 are not "most" by any means!

I'm sure you are correct Stasia. Maths was never my strongest suit.
I was also counting Nuno Queimado being promoted to Alternate Ham though.
Still the new cast news is a bit disappointing for me. Guess it's also because there was a nice rumour going around and I was hoping it would be true.

I know Emile only done a couple of Mulligan|Madison shows so I am also counting as a "new", at least for me personally. What the rumour? Please share? I think I won my personal lottery last year when my favourite musical got my fave actor in it (Jon Robyns). Not sure anyone can make me as excited in that cast, but Simon-Anthony has a chance

Nuno Quemado has just went on as Hamilton. So yep, he counts I haven't seen him, but I have seen Emile Ruddock as Mulligan|Madison and Sharon Rose as Eliza. The rumour was again that Lin Manuel Miranda was going to be Hamilton for a few weeks. As you can see it turned out not to be true. I'm also a big fan of Jon Robyns. His King George is hilarious!

Nuno is currently debuting as A.Ham so no one seen hime yet! Except for those currently at the VP! I think LMM rumours has been circulating since they actually announced Hamilton this side of the pond. And I’m pretty sure that will never come true. Or if they will, it will be announced with a special booking period and price increases, not for dates already on sale

The rumour was again that Lin Manuel Miranda was going to be Hamilton for a few weeks. As you can see it turned out not to be true. This was definitely a persistent rumour with the initial casting, but I really don’t see it happening now - with 2 young kids and a million other new projects on the go. At most a few weeks like in PR for publicity. But Lin would be WAY down the list of OBC members that I’d be keen to see again. Renee, Daveed or Leslie on the other-hand and I’d be at the front of the mad clamour to be there. They were all electric.

Oh, imagine having Leslie and Daveed in London with Jamael's Ham, that would be the dream team for me.

London/ Broadway OG cast dream team:
Hamilton: Lin Burr: Giles Terrera Angelica: Phillipa Soo Eliza: Renee Peggy: Christine Allado Laurens/Phillip: Cleve Laf/Jeff: Daveed Diggs Mull/Made: Tarinn Washington: Christopher Jackson King George: Groff
Jamael is fantastic but I'd bust my balls to see Lin live on stage

I liked the show but it's the king I keep thinking back about

First time front stalls this afternoon and it was a real treat...a true giant of a show...the hype is very real for anyone who hasn’t seen it.
