Interesting play about the beginning and end of a relationship. Shades of "Betrayal" but in this case the scenes past and present are intercalated, giving it a quirky perspective. First produced at the White Bear earlier this year but unfortunately cut short by Covid, it makes a welcome return to the venue.

Written by David Persiva and acted persuasively and with a strong emotional delivery by Persiva himself and Naoimh Morgan, this is an honest exploration into relationships, why they start and how they can fail. Attractively staged and tightly directed, with humour and pathos masterfully intertwined, this is highly recommended.

I was there this evening too and really enjoyed this. The performances were excellent - I would definitely love to see either of them on stage again, particularly Naoimh. The structure reminded me a bit of The Last 5 Years, and also felt a little like a mash up of ‘Beginning’ and ‘Middle’ by David Eldridge. The only bit I didn’t like was sitting in pitch darkness for 10 minutes - it gave me flashbacks to watching the dreadful Oklahoma recently.
