I assume Harry and Albus get a happy ending, I wonder who the mother of Voldemort's daughter is? They do, and it's Bellatrix. The actress plays her with some of Bellatrix's quirks, some folk around me guessed who her mother was before the reveal. Watching the leads watch Voldemort kill Harry (we heard the dialogue but didn't see it ourselves) was beautiful and sad. There was a similarly sad moment earlier in the play too, where Albus and Scorpius met Cedric in the maze and wished him luck. Two lovely quotes that stuck with me (I hope I'm remembering them right): Albus (to Snape in the alt timeline): Thank you for being my light in the darkness. Scorpius (about Bathilda, who has just walked past): my geekiness is a-quivering.

That seems a little churlish since you were so willing to tell all about Part 1 . Sounds like Part 2 must have been quite disappointing by comparison if you've decided not to share. I moved house on Sunday, saw Romeo and Juliet Monday, Harry Potter Tuesday and Thursday, worked a full week and am throwing a party tonight. If you want spoilers, see the show before deciding that it 'must have been quite disappointing' just because I've simply not had time. I meant disappointing for you rather than me. It's not something I am in a hurry to see.

For those who have seen it, does it feel like it's the final Harry Potter story or does it leave room for future stories? I get the feeling JK Rowling isn't quite ready to give up on the Wizarding World.

For those who have seen it, does it feel like it's the final Harry Potter story or does it leave room for future stories? I get the feeling JK Rowling isn't quite ready to give up on the Wizarding World. If anything I think it re-introduces us nicely to that entire world. As this is the spoiler thread, Voldemort's daughter is locked up in Azkaban. They could easily have her escape. They also re-introduce Harry having 'dreams' and his scar hurting again (despite the Horcrux being destroyed). That in itself is a story they could explore, as Dumbledore might have only been partially right - maybe the fact his daughter is alive means there's still a part of him around? The wizarding world is anything but at peace. Voldemort's allies were gathering and Harry is working hard as an Auror to prevent 'the darkness' taking hold. Just because Voldemort is gone, doesn't means that his ideologies have been abandoned by his supporters. In the books it's hinted at many times there have always been various wars, so it's possible they could reintroduce something at any time. But I don't see that happening until the play is made into a movie. Fantastic Beasts is the next 'big thing' and that introduces us to the wider world with new problems. Fantastic Beast is untapped potential and its exploring things we haven't seen before being set in 1926 and set in New York, I wonder if we might be getting the first Muggle/No Maj villain in Mary Lou? I do think Credence played by Ezra Miller might secretly be a wizard Cursed Child much like The Force Awaken seems to give the idea that defeating the big bad doesn't mean that all will end well

Can someone who's seen it give as much details as they can remember about Delphi. Other forums are so busy insulting her and the reason for her existence that there is little said about her apart from making fun of her hair. So, is it possible to know ... 1) in what way exactly is her hair blue and silver - can you describe it a bit better? 2) was she raised in an orphanage or by the Rowles because I've seen conflicting statements? 3) when we find out who she actually is do we discover a new name or is she still Delphi, and just Delphi Riddle instead of Diggory? 4) what is her characterisation like? I've heard she kills someone, but that also she begs to be killed at the end, so how psycho is she and how likeable is she as a character (because from the little I've read I sort of feel sorry for her)?

Thanks The prophecy being written everywhere sounds so cool, I really wanna actually be there to see it now! But I might sneak in a UV light and try to find the writing beforehand I feel like Delphi is slowly becoming my favourite character from this story in a weird way, if we overlook how her birth was meant to have come about (I hope JKR explains how this was possible on pottermore or somewhere after the books release in July). Though it's weird in places, the story of Cursed Child is growing on me, and I feel it will actually be better when I can see/read it instead of just hearing a plot ...

I do wonder when this does get adapted into films whether they'll have to recast Snape given Alan Rickman is no longer with us.

I sincerely hope they choose the route of character substitution rather than recasting Snape, as I don't think anyone could live up to Alan Rickman. Would that be possible though - could another character have filled Snape's role in the play instead?

He's much older and very different.

Her name doesn't change other than she becomes 'The Augory'. She kills a head boy/prefect at Hogwarts because 'he was there'. It's sad but needs work because I don't think the actress pulled off the change from a good person to an evil person. She can fly because she's studied Voldemort. There's a lot of debate on another forum, so I decided to come back here and ask (again - sorry) because you people are all nicer and give answers easily instead of just mouthing off about what you don't like when you say she can fly, does this mean like Voldemort, or does she literally grow wings and feathers and become an Augurey bird (because some people are ranting about this happening though I haven't actually seen it confirmed anywhere ...?)

She doesn't grow wings and feathers. Her costume is a sort of dark feathered cloak, but she's wearing it when she first appears in the owlery in the first act of part 2, before we have any idea she's not exactly who she says she is, so I don't think it's supposed to represent her literally having wings.

Please tell me, who is professor Mazoni and what subject he teaches? I've been racking my brain and genuinely don't know either!! Touring would be interesting. There's a lot of traps involved. Did anyone else notice that they've built a projection screen on the roof? Look up as soon as you walk in.

A plot summary I've seen says when Harry duels Delphi at the end, Albus pops up out of the floor and throws a wand to Harry. Does this mean Delphi has disarmed Harry prior to this, because this would mean she is now the master of the Elder Wand ...?

He places it in Dumbledore's tomb in the books, or snaps it in half in the films. He doesn't want that responsibility. Harry doesn't have the Elder wand. Using the books (because snapping the wand isn't canon, that's the film) the wand still exits with Harry as master. Harry disarmed Draco even though Draco didn't ever even touch the wand, and its allegiance still changed to Harry. So if Delphi disarms Harry, the wand will pass to her no matter what ...

It doesn't matter though, only Harry knows where he put the Elder Wand (well, possibly Ron and Hermione, I can't remember), so even if someone else were to become the master of it then it wouldn't matter unless the wand was found. And that's leaving aside the fact that if you take the film as canon the wand no longer exists. Also, your entire argument is predicated on the fact that (a) she disarmed Harry and (b) he failed to take/get his wand back, the latter of which is highly unlikely and even on your own description of events appears not to be the case. I have to admit I'm slightly bemused by your apparent obsession with a new character in a play you haven't even seen...

I have to admit I'm slightly bemused by your apparent obsession with a new character in a play you haven't even seen... I'm just a fanfic writer who's found a perfect new character for good stories. She seems deep and complex and also a bit of psychotic fun, and we know so little about her it will be good to flesh her out in stories

KevinUK is right, she's not set up nearly enough in Part 1 and then is a bit, dare I say, Panto in part 2!

That's completely true, I wrote an almost 3,000 word summary of part one as a bit of a memory exercise and I mentioned Delphi 10 times (compared to Harry 45, Albus 58 and Scorpius 36). Maybe it's because she's completely new and not related to anyone we really care about but I had no interest in her.
I wasn't shocked when she turned out to be the baddie but she definitely wasn't scary. 'Voldemort' was scarier for the short amount of time he was on stage. Hopefully she improves with time.
