I think Ruthie and Adam will be great actually - Ruthie will be playing a diva and she'll excel, and if Lulu could sing it well enough at Drury Lane, Ruthie will be fine.
Less convinced by Nicole as Peggy as she was the weakest link in Anything Goes by a mile, and Les Dennis seems a weird choice for Bert...

I’m torn - Ruthie will be fab and I want to see her, but my memories of the Drury Lane production are so special that I’m scared this (understandably) smaller production will just seem disappointing by comparison. I’m sure Bill Deamer will do a great job with the choreo though. And yes, Being Alive, Nicole’s casting is a concern after her damp performance in AG (although her dancing was good, so that’s something). |

Hopefully Nicole won’t go out on tour with it, because she was deffo a disappointment in AG. Every time she took centre stage the energy completely slumped.

Why oh why do tour stops always have to put up with different casts?
Bigger venues often on tour but not the option of the star casting

Adam Garcia has got me interested, more so than Ruthie.
Although she has been around for a long time I don't think I've seen her perform on stage more than one or twice. No idea why, maybe she has been in musicals I've not wanted to see.

I saw a clip of the Drury Lane We’re in the Money the other day, which was stunning. I’d forgotten how many dancers they put on that stage. Will be a very tough act to follow.

Tickets booked. My husband likes “old skool” musicals so he’s doing OK this year with Guys n Dolls, 42nd Street and Crazy for You in the bag

Unless they are desperate for the work. Touring is HARD. |

Think this one will be a pass for me. I loved the Drury Lane production, so it would be difficult to follow that one. Then, it has Ruthie in it, and she's one of those performers I just don't like to watch for some reason. Nicole was the last straw. She was so bland and lacking in much of anything in Anything Goes, the idea of watching her after seeing Clare Halse in the role is just...no, thanks.

I was just thinking as well, has Les Dennis got something on someone? Because it’s getting crazy how many times he’s appearing on cast lists recently. I’ve only seen him in Hairspray and can’t say he was a standout

Really pleased to see Sam Lips in the tour cast for this, he was excellent in Singin in the Rain last year.

Yes, great to see Sam and Faye reuniting.
I was not planning to see the recent London production but read a post on the forum about the front row £15 stalls seats and took a chance. I fell absolutely head over (tap) heels with it and went back to see it many times.
I hope this new production inspires and wows me like that one did.

Don't think this has been mentioned (and it's not on the show website) - Josefina Gabrielle is playing Maggie Jones at Curve and Sadler's Wells, and Michael Praed is playing Pat Denning at those venues.
