They are obviously having the same tech issues that they had last week with the Members' pre-sale. It was pretty soul-destroying.

I haven't been in a ticket disaster this bad in a while. From what I can tell, if you checked out your tickets in the first couple of minutes you probably managed it, I haven't been able to get anything to go through across 35 minutes and am now seeing most tickets drop back into the seatplans presumably as everyone else is getting timed out. The RC Box office phone line is jammed. It looks like most things, other than Psychosis - which might have sold out - are on TodayTix, albeit at a couple of pounds more, in case that helps. Thanks for the suggestion. It's not really a good alternative for me though because TodayTix are so unhelpful about returns.

Completely given up getting tickets via the RC after the booking system crashing and sorted out tickets via Today Tix easily enough. With gold level membership got tickets and 1 free seat upgrade for the same price without the stress.

Regarding returns and TodayTix, I'm not in love with having to use it, but they do have an option to pay for ticket protection that allows you to return tickets for credit no question asked up to a couple of days before the show. I have used this once before and it's pretty straight forward. The ticket I bought was £23 and the protection was £2, which was worth it for me for a west end ticket that I knew I wasn't 100% sure I could attend. It is annoying to have to do it with RC tickets though.

This is a truly awful experience. Well done, RC! 👍

I’ve found TodayTix (or rather their AI chatbot) can be good at allowing credit in the form of a swap to another date in the same run of the same production. It’s not a guarantee - but I’ve swapped Royal Court tickets with them before without any protection (Giant).

Went with TodayTix for Manhunt in the end, was able to grab a front row ticket for the Fri I was looking for, at £18 the premium is bearable.

Well that was ridiculously difficult. An hour and a half later, got my 2 tickets for Psychosis.
I suppose it’s a good problem for them to have, good programming generates lots of demand. But they’ll need to seriously invest in their systems

Looking at these comments, I'm almost sure someone's lost their job. I mean they won't have I never understand why people want people to lose their job over something trivial. The booking system buckling just means the RC needs to invest in the booking system either by paying more or going to a different booking system.

Don't know where in my message I said I WANT people to lose their job but booking systems buckling is the very last thing you ever want to happen. I'm just stating a fact; I bet they're probably looking for different booking system infrastructure services at this point because this is just shoddy

I got through on the phone after 43 minutes and the tickets were still saved in my basket, so all good here.

Got there in the end, and online too... I don't remember it being this hard to book the musical version at the Lyric a few years back.

Logged off. Had lunch. Began making an onion tart for dinner. Thought I would try again. My tickets had disappeared from my basket, but when I went back on the seating plan, they were there, so have now secured them.I was booking only for Manhunt, so don't know how Psychosis is going, but looked good availability for that.

Looking at these comments, I'm almost sure someone's lost their job. It is pretty shambolic but I'd hate anyone lose their job over something as inconsequential as theatre tickets!

Has anyone been able to book online now or is it only over the phone? I managed to book each show individually using the RC website now.
