Great news!!!
So have the Menier still got their premises? Or are they going to be elsewhere? Others on here have said that they'd lost their building.

Looking forward to this. Love the score and only time I've seen it was at the Donmar a long time ago.

Not sure how it can transfer to London as we don't yet know what's happening at the Menier.

Oh nice! I smell a nice long London visit brewing. Pacific Overtures matinee, Into the Woods evening. Suddenly the West End got a whole heap more interesting again.

All that’s left is an announcement of a transfer for the wonderful Opera North/ Leeds Playhouse production of A Little Night Music, and then we’d have it all. Here’s to hoping.

I honestly can't remember who but I know a London producing house does have the rights Would it be the Menier? As they produced it at the Menier, transfer to west end and then to Broadway. Mond you Alex Parker has also done concert versions of it.

I would love to see ALNM at the Regents Park theatre. And they are a London Producing house and I can easily see it being their big summer show.

If someone is going to do ALNM please have it be at the National with Cate Blanchett.

Almeida sounds familiar... Desperate for someone to do it with Ruth Wilson as Desiree
But yes, I'd also enjoy a Cate Blanchett version

Maybe the Menier's email should have mentioned it then! Although personally, while I've never seen Pacific Overtures, from what I've read about it I don't think I wish to see it.

I'm afraid I don't understand this reply. Gasp! It is one of my faves. What is it about it that does not appeal ? The plot, the all male cast, the Kabuki-style production, and I've not heard of any of the cast let alone seen any of them in anything else before. Basically there isn't anything about it that does appeal to me.
