Ohh I didn't realise Wheeldon who i love was involved. Although I still detest MJ and his music.
Me thinks, I'll just stick to Wheeldon ballets

The Prince Edward is a great venue for MJ. This has gone from strength to strength in New York and is doing incredible business. I predict it will do the same here and become a very hot ticket and have a very respectable run.

If it transfers to London, I would love to see Ivano Turco play MJ. Is there lots of acting involved? 🤔

Is there lots of acting involved? 🤔 Surely you won't judge the poor lad on the awful drippy material he was given to work with in Cinderella? I think he would be a great choice and may actually make me book a ticket for this (heck, I was close to booking that Bob Marley thing to see him).

He cannot act, regardless of the material.

He cannot act, regardless of the material. Here comes the authority again.
I think he'd be great personally, and an obvious choice, though perhaps as alternate (assuming we'll have one?). If he does well as Bob Marley and proves himself with that I can definitely see him in with a chance as MJ. I can't think of many other that immediately come to mind. I know Karl Queensborough was tweeting about wanting it but I really struggle to see that.

For me the issue was not that he couldn’t act, just that he was wrong for the part. Bless his heart but he was camp as Christmas and I just could not believe him as being in love with Cinderella, also he looked about 12 and Carrie looks her age so he read more as her little brother than love interest! Michael Hamway was much better as the Prince for me, him and Carrie had brilliant chemistry as well. Having said all that, Ivano’s voice was fantastic and his dancing was second to none so I think he could be really good in MJ, especially as Michael Jackson was quite a flamboyant character.

It seems awfully early to announce the show is coming in 2024.

Would it kill you to accept that your opinion isn't definitive, rather than insulting people who don't agree? I don't know why I'm even asking, it clearly would.

oh you only need to look at the Legally Blonde thread to see how it would go Or the Fairview thread Fairview and A Strange Loop are about as similar as When We Have Sufficiently Tortured Each Other and The Play That Went Wrong.

Gary Glitter had a few popular tunes as well. There actually was a Gary Glitter musical at The Arts Theatre in the eighties. No revival since that though strangely.

Does ‘Michael’ sing all of his songs in this, or does one of Five Star stand and sing them for him while he dances?
