Wondering if anyone is going along to the vinyl release party for ‘Cool Rider’ cast recording on Sunday evening (from 6pm) at the Theatre Café? They must have an drinks license because there will be a bar on-site for this event.
I’m hoping to drag along my two friends after we go to the closing matinee of ‘Legally Blonde’ at Upstairs up at the Gatehouse, like the creatives that were involved in this project and I was a funder of the Kickstarter…with only luck Aaron Sidwell may be in attendance!!

Did anyone get their copy of the soundtrack for this? They took my money instantly, but I've not received anything?

The Cool Rider Facebook page is updating all its profile pic and cover photo. Is another production announcement imminent?
EDIT: They’re teasing someone on Twitter now. Something is definitely coming.

Why are people surprised - these people don't have any money so of course it's a one night concert 😂😂

I've never heard of this musical, should I have? It’s a stage version of Grease 2, the terrible (but oddly wonderful) sequel to Grease.

Was excited for this but doing it for 1 night at the Pallidium, it’s so pricey (Made in Dagenham concert was far more reasonable).
I’ll see nearer the time if there are any deals on this!
Love ‘Grease 2’ even invested on the ‘Cool Rider’ Cast album 💿 being made!

I loved it last time, it was so much fun. Seems weird to do it in the palladium as it worked well in small theatres last time.

Maxwell Caulfield (original ‘Michael’)as a teacher (so thinking ‘Reproduction’) is a fun choice though but I just think it’s a tad too expensive

This is from the Palladium website
"This hilarious tribute-parody-celebration will have you singing and dancing in your seats LIVE at the world famous London Palladium for one night only"
So they are basically giving you permission to sing.

Well I've booked as a friend says Grease 2 is one of her favourite films and wants to see it. I hope its going to be cheesy and camp.

Everyone did when this was on at the duchess. It was pretty hilarious! The whole audience would have ended up on the bad behaviour thread 🤣

That’s the kind of production it is, though. It’s a very tongue-in-cheek, campy, concert interpretation with a lot of in jokes and knowing winks. I’m a total stickler for theatre etiquette but there are exceptions. Equally confused as to why this is in such a big theatre, though. I’m assuming the cast were only available for one night and they wanted to maximise it? It was thoroughly enjoyable (to a Grease 2 fan anyway!) last time. Being such a cult classic there was a feeling of being a part of something in the theatre - being “in” on a special joke that not everyone would get. I hope they manage to keep that same atmosphere in a larger house.

This was a fun evening at the Palladium last night - and no complaints about the sound quality from my high-up filled seat.
I was surprised how well many of the audience seemed to know the show. which I'd never heard of until it was announced here in January. The singing along and loud cheers at certain moments enhanced the fun atmosphere. Far more enjoyable than the source material film.
Roll on 2034.

If it hadn't been for a friend saying she wanted to go I would have missed this completely. Thankfully I booked tickets and had an absolutely brilliant night out. It was such fun and the audience made the night. There were certainly a lot of serious fans out there who knew every word and movement and i spent as much time watching them as I did the actors on stage. For quite an "animated" audience everyone was really well behaved and they were just having a great time. Cast were excellent as well and sound quality was generally very good. Loved the kind of megamix at the end with everyone up dancing and singing along. 7pm start! excellent idea. I was actually home in time to watch the Olivier's on TV. Would be nice if more of the Sunday concerts would do that especially with Monday being a work day. 4 seats down from me sat Dame Joan Collins and Juliet Mills (who is married to Maxwell Cauldfield). Joanie looked bemused throughout.
