atgtickets.com is owned by the-inventing-shed.co.uk, who also own a number of other theatre-related ticket sites. It looks legitimate, and is linked from ATG's main site.

You can tell it's legit as you go on and there's literally nothing available except for a couple of dates. Does the classic thing of telling you a date has availability and then shows as sold out

My browser said the link wasn't secure, which is why I thought it might have been a scam

My browser said the link wasn't secure, which is why I thought it might have been a scam Is that because it's a direct link into a queue, possibly? I don't if that renders Internet security questionable.

Managed to just get 2 tickets for 3rd September next year...unfortunately it was the £20 seats in Row A balcony...so it will be a case of "Happy birthday mother, heres a tissue for your nosebleed and xray glasses to see through the handrail"...but just glad to take her to see it.

2 tickets - Saturday 8th July in the balcony sorted. Thanks to the person who posted that link.
Was offered Row B in the Stalls for a Thursday/Friday performance in June but then remembered it was the small matter of my sister's wedding (abroad) on the Saturday. Oops.

Can someone post when they get a confirmation email? I haven't got one yet and I'm starting to get a bit anxious.

Thank you zak97 - managed to grab a row A balcony seat (good job I'm not scared of heights!) for late June next year. Would have preferred a weekend (there were plenty of balcony row L weekend tickets left, but I thought it was worth the extra £10 to be slightly closer) but beggars can't be choosers!

Just registered to say thank you so much for the link, zak97 - we managed to bag dress circle tickets for Parts I & II, **IN TWO WEEKS' TIME**!! My wife is more excited than I've seen her since we went to the The Wizarding World of Harry Potter a couple of years ago :-)
I received a confirmation email within a minute.
Right, now off to remortgage the house...
Thanks again.

ATG Tickets have asked us to remove the link, as it should not be publically accessible. Oh, boo!

I was able to get tickets for next year in booking individual seats (as in, not the same seat for both performances). I'm as chuffed as it is possible to be. Zak97, if I meet you I owe you a drink.
Edited to add, I was on sites all day on Thursday and didn't leave my office until 8.30pm, I also have ATG membership. This was the only way I got tickets.

I suppose they want the public to have an equal chance of getting tickets. Maybe they should sort the link on their website and the official production website out then? I tried to get in via both before I used that link last night but they were still coming up as sold out. Not much point in them having the tickets if they're not going to sell them, especially given the huge demand last Thursday.

Turns out BT Mail are rejecting all ATG confirmation emails so they're going to post me a confirmation. 2016.

I think a further issue is that they state return tickets will be available online. But with a sold out button, how is it possible for the public to access these tickets? It seems like it is probably the geographical minority of people, those who live in London and want to see the play, are the winners as the returns only, and despite the producers' words, are only available at the box office. Surely if more people had access to the returns online that would possibly quench the thirst of some people for tickets before the next booking period is made available and also, due to more competition for return tickets, prevent the same people from queuing for returns and seeing the play multiple times.

I should have added, individual seats (as in, no the same seat for both performances) AND in different areas - I'll be going with my son, one of us will be in the stalls and one of us in the dress circle!

I'm pondering how they could make the system fairer. it does seem awful that they can be sold out for 18 months ahead, and each time a block of tickets are released, they go in a scramble in a few hours. And each time a block of tickets is released, many are snapped up by exactly the same individuals who snapped up all the other sets and have seen it several times, and who then whine about the lack of audience diversity ... !!!
