I really hope this comes into the West End. It would be lovely at The Garrick.

Went to Bradford to see it. AMAZING THEATRE, what a beaut. But boyy I wasn't convinced with Bradford during nighttime.. dodgy as you ask me. Really hope I can get away from work to catch it in Hamburg, as I don't want Bradford to be the last time I saw this show.

Caught this tonight at Liverpool’s Empire Theatre. What an absolutely beautiful piece of theatre in the city that housed the offices of the White Star Line company.
When it was first announced that it was touring, it peaked my interest not only by the very positive reviews it had from its London shows, but also how the producers would show the sinking. So watching it can fully appreciate why it won 5 Tony Awards. The score itself was an absolute delight to listen to live with Lady’s Maid in Act 1 being particularly poignant as it highlighted all the hopes and dreams of those passengers travelling to America for a new and better life but as an audience, you know that these will never be fulfilled due to what is to come. While in Act 2 it was the lovely and emotionally powerful duet song Still sung by Ida and Isidor Strauss while the boat is sinking that really did tug at the heartstrings.
What was a nice touch was the cast using the aisleway in the stalls during the show. This was really effective during the song We’ll meet tomorrow where you really could feel the emotion from the cast during the singing.
The staging of the sinking was cleverly done by just tilting the deck slightly. A simple but effective solution in my opinion. While the lighting design was used to great effect both in creating the atmosphere of the engine room with a nice mix of orange, red and yellow to create the impression of a heated room while the backdrop during the sinking lit up to create the night sky.
For the costumes, the ladies in the cast, particularly those in the upper classes really did get some fantastic frocks to wear and really looked the part. The designers must have had a field day being able to design them.
The ending of the show once the cast took their bows was spot on. No music just a giant board with the names of all those who tragically lost their lives that fateful night. A very respectful and dignified way to pay tribute to those people and allowing the audience to pay their own respects to them.
Overall a 5* night out.

Saw this in Bromley. its still got one of the best scores and singing around at the moment, with an obviously major story to play out. It grabs the emotions and ended with a big standing ovation. The Kate's remain outstanding. The arguments between the Captain.architect and owner were probably more effective in the more intimate, Charing Cross setting , But that was also due to the the sound quality on their mikes, as I think someone noted earlier.
This really should go back into town. its far better than most of what is on.

I just booked for Hamburg, and I am sooo happy Bromley (of all places..) wasn't my last visit. I will always love (youuuuuu) Titanic and will see each production that ever comes on, but I will miss this cast and production. You never know if and when it might be reprised (is that even a word, sorry I'm not native) and a few of the cast have been involved with the show for so long but I guess its gonna be the last time for quite a few people. (I thought this as well with the last shows of Titanic at the Charing Cross and tadaaa, luckily lots of them came back for the tour, so fingers crossed for a 2019 engagement tho, but till then I guess this will be my final visit.)
Anyone else from TB coming to Hamburg as well?

Here is a video of a local US production being done this month on an actual lake, so when the cast falls overboard ... .
The last two minutes are a bit of the show in action. The first 14 are about how they designed things.

Absolutely loved this production at Liverpool last night. Was a delight to hear the very classical voices singing the wonderful big melodies in the ensemble numbers. Some fabulous soprano voices cutting through. Felt it was reminiscent of the 50s and 60s musicals with the occasional nod to the likes of My Fair Lady and Carousel. Was great to see and hear many more 'mature' actors on stage as well.

So, so, so glad I finished my own little tour in Hamburg yesterday. If Bradford had been my last show it would def been less special. The staging was slightly different, as the orchestra pit was covered which was enormous, so they didnt play very close in front of the audience, but still made use of the auditorium by walking off stage in a few scenes. But I am glad i was on the third row as otherwise it would have felt a bit distant for me. (that being said I am too used to the combi of front row and this show lol) I was even treated with a new US for me, Alistair took over as Andrews (not his first time, but first time for me) which was fun to watch.
Cried from the beginning on, and I am absolutely gutted I couldnt make it today to the final 2 shows. It deserves another life, whether on tour, whether in a permanent theatre (in London) I don't care, as long as it's playing somewhere. Totally facing post-show depression now, but as said so happy that Hamburg was my final visit. Spend 36 hours in this city and I can recommend it! As for the titanic lovers; the Maritime Museum here holds an enormous model of the ship (which I may or may not have admired for at least 20 minutes straight..)

Surprised to get a notification from ATG about Titanic at Woking for (just) 3 days in July. I saw this at Cardiff and also at Bromley last year and really enjoyed it but had assumed the UK run was completely finished.
Half price on Thursday 11 July with ATG Theatre card.

The prices for Moscow are insane! (and our average salaries are much smaller than UK ones) The cheapest tix are rows 34-35 (and you basically seat soooo far away from the stage you can't tell males from females and they are 25-35 pounds, then tix in row 29 are about 60 pounds and the ones closer to stage go up to 175 pounds.
We had the POTO in that theatre a few years ago, it was selling very well so with the dynamic pricing they charged about 100 pounds most. Basically, these prices are equivalent to Titanic in London charging 70-400 pounds for the tix. (as average salary in Moscow is about 600 pounds per month) Would anyone pay that price? I think not.
Average musical in Moscow costs 25-50 pounds, and paying 50 you are getting a nice stalls seat most of the times. I have no idea why producers decided to charge Hamilton prices for smth that is not Hamilton, but people in Russia just won't pay that much, especially for a show in a foreign language without Russian celebrities in it.

Sad news on Facebook and social media.
Titanic tour has been cancelled with only China at the end of the year happening.
So sad for the cast crew and creatives!

Aw, what a pity. They're currently in Germany and ticket sales here don't look too great. The first performance here in Cologne tomorrow is nearly sold out, the second one on Wednesday looking okay, but after that it's bleak. There have been surprisingly few discounts though, maybe if they started selling half price tickets on the same day, people will buy just to spend the evening in an air-conditioned place when the heatwave hits with 38-40C temperatures

We saw this at Woking and it was extremely well received. My only criticism was that some of the vocals were hard to make out over the band but that may be because we were right at the front. I often feel the music is too loud and struggle to hear every word being sung
Perhaps a return to Charing Cross Theatre is called for ?

I would welcome its return to the Charing Cross where, to me, it worked better than the tour. So sad this tour has been cancelled, though, for all concerned. I loved the show, one of my all time favourites. According to "Theatremusings" on Twitter, a Saudi investor has pulled out.

They announced it is not happening in Russia last week, but I thought it was just us and local shady producers...
