I just had a shudder thinking what If they cast Kimberly Walsh.. Good call for Mama Morton, or does Roxie have a love interest? I don’t recall...

Sheridan Smith? For her triumphant return to the WE stage...just not on Mondays...that will be Natasha Barnes. Natasha may also do Tuesdays, Weds, Fridays, and the matinee on Saturday...

As much as I thought Sheridan was overrated in Legally Blonde, and horrible in Funny Girl, I always thought she'd be a good choice or Roxy. She can't pull off a Velma, though. Roxy's dancing can be modified for a non-dancer, but Velma has to be a great dancer.

Roxy's dancing can be modified for a non-dancer, but Velma has to be a great dancer. I always have wondered why the "celebrity" always took the role of Roxie and never Velma but this answers it. I wouldn't have thought Roxie was an easy part though - perhaps its easier to get by in it. Have luckily avoided the worst of the stunt casting so have always seen people who can actually act, sing and dance the role.

It's not an easy part at all - and arguably Roxie is the star of the show. If you remove her from the equation, there wouldn't be a story. But Roxie's dance numbers are modifiable. She's on a ladder in Funny Honey, she's on a lap in We Both Reached for the Gun, and in "Roxie", it's more like style and movement than synchronized and intense dance steps. Me and My Baby is really the toughest one for her, but that has been modified for all sorts of dance abilities throughout the year. The intended choreography that Ann Reinking and Ruthie Henshall did is pretty advanced - but like I said, there are simplified version. Nowadays is again more about movement and style, and Hot Honey Rag is very basic again, and the cartwheel bit has two alternative endings instead for less capable dancers.

Cuda Gooding Jr is on The Graham Norton Show tomorrow night, with Imelda Staunton. Perhaps there will be some exclusive news...or perhaps not!

God the sofa on Graham Norton is quite bad tonight. Imelda is very good and can't believe this is her first time as for Cuba and Will I am just seem bored and like they don't want to be there. As well Cubas singing, god that wasn't something and I think people will be returning there tickets for Chicago. Poor Imelda.

I find a lot (not all) of the American stars on Graham Norton to be a complete pain in the rear. It's usually either sit there and say nothing or hog the whole thing. Neither is entertaining. Give me guests like Vicky McClure or Keeley Hawes any day. I'm a big fan of Norton though.

And yes I think Cuba Gooding Jnr's performance on the show will have put many off booking Chicago. I wonder what Imelda thought being on that couch!?

I don’t mind it when they hog the show, so long as they interract with the other guests and don’t just plug their film/show. The worst is when the entire couch is made up of the cast of one film, like last week with Mission Impossible. I couldn’t care less about how they did the stunts on set.

I wonder if the producers thought it was intelligent casting someone who has played someone who was guilty of murder but whose lawyer got him off, and now he’s playing the lawyer who gets the guilty murderer off...? No, I didn’t think so either.
