Crikey, he certainly didn't win an Oscar for musical theatre. That was rather embarrassing. Thank goodness for Ruthie and her tit for tat. So do they close the show tonight?

Ruthie was great, as was Vivian. We're being a little harsh on Cuba. To be fair to him, he played a blinder with the "Is everybody here? Is everybody ready? Hit it!" intro. It was only when he started singing that we all reached for the gun.

Was it pre recorded with understudies in the west end tonight Pretty sure it was pre-recorded, as the judges' desk was empty. They quite often do that as the video transmission also gives the studio useful setup time during an otherwise live show. I'm afraid my ears are still bleeding slightly too... The judges were there as Ruthies bit had her standing in front of the judges desk and Amanda was bobbing away in her seat behind Ruthie. I remember thinking I bet Amanda wishes it was her singing the song. |

Cuba is just an embarrassment. Made so much worse by the fact he clearly thinks he’s amazing. Vivian carter can’t really sing either can she ?!

Chicago is currently booking until Saturday 6th October so it would only be a 3 month extention. Not worth putting something else in for such a limited time I wouldn't have thought - unless a Christmas show? Tommy Steele in Scrooge anyone? |

She was rumoured by Popbitch way back before the show was even announced/mooted so she’s clearly been in the producer’s crosshair for a while. There have been reports that she’s due to announce new music any day now and she’s always released her albums September-December so I don’t think she’ll give up on time to promote that to do a stint in Chicago. Not to mention she’s got a bit of a history of not performing entirely live... |

Unless her voice has miraculously improved, then she will not be able to do justice to the songs and it will all be a bit pointless.
I understand the need to shift tickets but at least cast celebs who can hold a tune.
