I visited this glorious show again this week which underpins the masterful talent of Sondheim. Only gripe, very minor, it would of been nice to see one of the younger cast members perform a solo without any ensemble. An amusing comment I overheard from two audience attendees leaving the theatre at the end of the show. both were in agreement that the show was fantastic, but one said to the other " I would have preferred less of the one with the funny voice" Peter's voice maybe a shadow of what it used to be, but she's earned her stripes and for the purpose of this short outing. It was a pleasure to see her up there on the boards.

Omg when I went once with some acquaintances of mine they referred to her as the one with ‘the funny voice’ as well & they weren’t a fan of her 💀 I guess I’m just used to it at this point hahahaha but I enjoy the different colours of people’s voices.

Some people! Wouldn't life be very dull if everyone had similar singing voices and tones? Like an X-Factor style nightmare. I loved Bernadette!

Great performances all round, and yes that includes Bernadette Peters even with the “funny” voice. Perhaps too many individual performances in the second half. It would be better to mix that up with some of the younger cast members singing more as their group numbers (West Side Story) lifted this further.
Thanks for the tips for Rush tickets, easily obtained. The dress circle (row C) seems so close to the stage here.
4 stars.

Apologies if mentioed before, but there are some great tickets deals here for the last few performances. It seems quite a few shows are included in the sale. £88 reduced to £55, £64 reduced to £35, and £40 down to £25
if you change the number of tickets from the default 2, down to 1 ticket, it gives a much better selection of single tickets

Id like to go again on NYE but there seems to be no discounts for this date despite so many empty seats only a few days away. Feels like madness.

I made a return visit sat in the front row just before Christmas and it really was the most amazing experience I’ve ever had in a theatre.

Saw the show tonight went with friends who didn’t know many of the shows or songs … enjoyable show for them in most parts Bonnie got one of the biggest applause 👏 of the evening . BP was in good voice and very comical throughout. Was a bit perturbed at the opening with Lea. When she spoke her voice seemed a bit slurred did get me a bit worried . But throughout the show she was great glad they gave her the right material for her voice now which isn’t what it was but hey BP it’s BP in person ! Second half we thought was much better than first some great performances standing ovation at the end … not sure if anyone else there tonight noticed one actress nudged BP forward in the end number looked quite assertive from the circle 3/5 fro our friends 4/5 from me

Wonder if she was in the wrong position ?

I've seen the show a few times now, but the second night I went Gavin Lee accidentally bashed into Bernadette during the final song and knocked her over to the side a little bit. Bernadette looked absolutely furious and gave him a look of total disgust for a second, before going straight back into smiley happy mode - I was thinking I would've loved to have been a fly on the wall backstage afterwards!

If you’re telling the truth & not joking that’s SO funny. I wish I could’ve seen. Though to be fair to Bernie, the look of disgust may well have just been a mix of shock and her facelift 🤣
