I think season 5 of The Crown is wrapping up filming this week so I think Imelda would be available for the concert.

Anyone have any idea what ticket prices will be like? Good ones I think will be in 3 figures as its also for charity. This is the one time when I'm going to say I don't care how much they are as I really want to be there (although very much doubt I'll be able to get anything). I don't think I will ever see such a lineup again in my lifetime.

Having problems sleeping tonight and now my mind is racing to figure out who will sing what. Could keep me occupied for hours! Michael Ball could do Sweeney but could also do something from Passion. Imelda could do Sweeney, Follies or even Roses Turn from Gypsy. I think Adrian will do Being Alive so Bernadette could do Move On or she could also do Roses Turn. Daniel Evans something from Merrily or the opening song from Frogs as he is good at comedy songs. Happy to lend my services if required to choose the songs This is the best line up for a tribute concert I've seen in years. The last big one I went to was a charity concert at Drury Lane years ago for Sondheim when the world and his wife appeared and I went to the after show party. It was an amazing evening. I very much enjoy Ball's version of Losing My Mind but they'll probably give that to someone else. It would be nice to hear him sing something from Passion. He's the best one on that concert/ cast album. I could see him doing Sweeney with Imelda too. I hope Adrian doesn't sing Being Alive. His version isn't my favourite and the song is too vocally demanding for him. It should be given to someone else. I'm positive some actors will be performing more than once (Imelda). I could imagine something like the actors who played the same role or the same show doing a performance together. Bernie, Maria Friedman and Jenna Russell for instance. Members of the original London cast of Into the Woods perform Children Will Listen with actors from the Regent's Park Open Air Theatre, maybe throw in some from the Donmar production. The possibilities are endless. Wonder who will sing Finishing the Hat. Everyone sing Sunday or Move On at the end? I'm getting emotional thinking about it. I would also love for Beautiful to be performed. Yes, a breath-taking line-up and there's probably so many more to be announced. Was the concert you went to called Hey, Old Friends? Hey old Friends rings a bell so could have been. I remember Earth's Kitt giving a standout performance of I'm Still Here. I'm sure the will do Sunday and I will be a total wreck as I cry everytime I hear that song, it is so beautiful.

I actually hope Bernadette does not sing "Losing My Mind" - her voice is a little shot sadly and while I think she sung the role of Sally on Broadway 100 times better than Staunton did, Losing My Mind actually worked really well for Staunton's low register. I don't want London audiences to be disappointed. In my opinion it would be better if she sung Not a Day Goes By (fitting as a signature song and celebrating Sondheim), Children Will Listen, No One is Alone or In Buddy's Eyes. Or perhaps even Send in the Clowns as I think SHE has the definitive version, but it almost certainly will be reserved for Judi. It would be great if she could also do a duet of "Move On" with someone.

With cinema live links starting up again it would be great if they could get this live relay on the night. But at least being recorded for wider release we hope. Getting Bernadette peters is a major coup as presume a Broadway tribute is also being lined up.

Bernadette has concert engagements in the US that would make it unlikely she could perform the concert on the 2nd May unless they were going for REALLY tight timing.

God, how magical would it be to hear Julia sing Children Will Listen in that beautifully haunting, intimate way she did it on the London cast album of ITW.

I hope I am wrong but I see this as a "one night only" concert especially with those names involved. Maybe a matinee and evening?

I think the concert was actually called Being Alive - A Celebration of the Genius of Stephen Sondheim at Drury Lane in 1989. Did Elaine perform Ladies Who Lunch? Thought the concert may have been more recent than that but knew I was wrong when you mentioned Eartha.

The "Hey Old Friends" concert was at the Drury Lane in 2015 Yes and Eartha passed in 2008. The mentioning of Eartha made me realise it couldn't have been that 2015 concert.

At this point Daniel Evans is probably the most likely candidate to sing Finishinh the Hat
