Prices for this are INSANE - how bad would the far end of the front rows be for those who have seen it? It's about all I can afford. If you think you could stand for it, the standing tickets were pretty good value to be honest. That said side stalls should be an OK view, most stuff is centre stage.

The front row side ticket for £22.50 was enough for me to pull the trigger on a return visit.

What are the changes of being picked on in these seats???! Well I saw it Saturday night. The lights come up and Julian actively seeks out audience members to “pick on”. Wasn’t necessarily front row. I’d say back as far as row G/H are Possibilities.

From what I have seen and heard this looks very spectacular but I just can't bring myself to schlep up west in this weather to watch a panto. I did go to the "best of" one a couple of years ago as there was very little going on and I had my niece visiting. It was great fun but I'm not sure I want to sit through a proper one. I've also heard the Palladium ones last about 7 hours!

Loved the matinee of this today. It's not as funny as the year Elaine Paige appeared, but for sheer spectacle, it's the biggest yet, and Julian Clary is on reliably fabulous droll risque form as the compere. Rob Madge, Gary Wilmot, Louis Gaunt and even Nigel Havers are all aces! Some spoilers follow. . . The beanstalk in the middle of the stalls is a truly great original addition to the formula, the giant is truly giant (sorry, Totoro!), and the starry cast is starry. For me, Julian Clary repeatedly making fun of, and duetting with, Louis Gaunt's Jack was worth the price of the ticket. And then there was Rob Madge fulfilling the West End dream (of his own show) by singing "I dreamed a dream" as Cow Pat, or was it "I creamed a cream" lol!? And Gary Wilmot's list song, "I've not been well" was, for me, just as good as his peak London Underground song, for it's sheer volume of ailments, as well as for the way he involved the audience so beautifully in the chorus. The lets-all-hit-Nigel-Havers lineup song was particularly good this year for actually being about Nigel Havers lol, who has really grown into this likeable punching bag of a character these pantomimes have created for him. He's a good sport and excellent value, particularly when imagining himself as James Bond, or "Oldfinger," as Clary would have it lol. Zerdin was Zerdin, but he was great with the kids, and it was good to see Dawn French back on the side of the angels, even if her material didn't really pop. She's a comedienne that has given me so many laughs over the years that I will even treasure an underwritten appearance lol. And as a massive Leonard Cohen fan, ever in mourning for him, it was truly wonderful to hear Alexandra Burke's amazing rendition of "Hallelujah," even if she did have to break character for it. All in all, one of the better Palladium Pantos. 4 stars from me.

They have tickets available in the OLT sale, from January onwards. I haven't looked too closely, but the tickets they are asking £50 for are usually £89.50 on the LW site.

Had a great time in the 'very restricted view' £22.50 Row A seats last night.
For the price they are great, however they do deserve the 'very restricted' description. From A1, there are a few moments - Julian's entrance and a whole song to Achy Breaky Heart - that are completely invisible. Basically anything that happens towards the back of the stage. I'd still say they're a bargain, and proximity to the stage makes up for it but please be aware before booking!
Sitting in A1, this also follows the usual panto rule that as the villain, Alexandra always enters from this side of the stage, and Julian always enters from the other side. Without spoiling anything, I would also not recommend stage left to anyone afraid of loud noises!
As for the show itself, no big surprises (plenty of mileage is taken from the size of Julian's stalk as he spreads his seed over the front row) except for how eye-popping the special effects are!
Dawn works a lot better as Jack's mother than she did as the villain, though some of her jokes about her 'sons' would make Julian blush!
Alexandra pure C.A.M.P and Paul/Nigel/Gary play their usual parts with lots of energy and humour.
If you've seen a Palladium Panto before I wouldn't say splash out mega money, but it's always a great festive night out for the right price

For anyone at the matinee 13/12, I was the Paul in the front row selected by Paul Zerdin for a tiny role in the show... Peeved I didn't get a goody bag like the kids. Was also name-checked by Dawn French.
As for the cheap stalls seats at the end of the rows, I took the opportunity after the show to check out the view from them. I do agree with a previous comment that the £22.50 row A 1/2 and 24/25 are very restricted. It's not so much the side view but the stage set up for Jack & the Beanstalk.
The row C ones for £29.50 are the best deal in my opinion.

Has anyone sat in the extreme sides of row C of the stalls that have recently been put on sale for £29.50?

Has anyone sat in the extreme sides of row C of the stalls that have recently been put on sale for £29.50? Yes! My friend and I did C34 and 35. The view was fine really, much better than the extremes of the two rows in front. We missed a bit of the overall ensemble numbers, but the comedy routines all happened downstage so we saw them fine!
