A problem for me is that I get sick of seeing the trailers of stuff which will (maybe) open in seven months time. At the cinema, I want to be tempted by what is coming up in the next few weeks - not that this looks remotely tempting to me!

Why do the colours in the trailer look so muted? As a result, it gives off a slightly creepy vibe. When the deer appeared (complete with demonic red eyes), I half expected it rip Snow White’s hand off!😂

Back when Disney used to scare children

The problem with the Disney live-action remakes, at least with the ones I've tried to watch so far, is that they are so close to being a shot-for-shot remake in many cases that ten minutes in I just wish I was watching the animated version. I think acting styles nowadays favour a naturalism that doesn't necessarily translate well into something as colourful and characterful as a Disney fairytale. But at the same time, the actors out there who do have strong "personalities" in their performances don't have the box office clout to ham it up in a major movie, which is kind of what you need. Otherwise the performances just come across as bland when compared to their animated counterparts.

So much CGI they may as well be making an animated film.
