On the two occasions that I went we were in stalls at far end from exit .. As we left we were politely but firmly guided along the edges of the performance area to the exit and would not have been able to join in. This seems to be fair enough as otherwise there could be considerable overcrowding in the area, reducing the enjoyment of the people standing.

I went yesterday to the matinee show. I kept thinking my seat was 3rd row stalls, couldn't even remember what place I picked, lol, (under the band), but then upon looking at the chart in the morning it was 2nd row, only for it really be front row when I got there, so I was very happy The standing area was so full, lots of school kids (and from where I was sitting 90% of them just looked bored and uninterested for the entire show). There was a show stop of about 15 minutes, no idea what happened. It looked like one of the platforms wasn't going up? I haven't done an evening show because it's a stretch getting the train back home and I don't want all that stress, but I've been to 3 matinee shows now, and every time there were so many unsold seats Miss Adelaide was an understudy, she was amazing! And "Sit down you're rockin' the boat" just gets better and better every time I hear it!

Oooh, thanks! I got my ticket for yesterday via Seatplan about half price as they had offers going, but the offers were done when I checked last night. Definately using this offer now to book for next month

I think they may struggle to push this beyond Aug it looks like it's reached a point of saturation they should have been sensible and not extend beyond what the majority felt was going to be the closing date Aug 31st. Let's hope things pick up for them. The upper Gallery 2 was closed the other day. Otherwise, they may have known or factored in the downturn during the summer months and the true gains may be in the Autumn and the run up to the final closing date in early January.

Does anybody know if this production has been filmed for future cinema/release? It would be great if they did, I was wondering the same seeing as lots of the Bridge's shows have been through NT Live (including the 2x immersive Shakespeares). It would also be great if they had a recording of the original cast that was used for the trailer footage, but would be happy seeing it with the current cast too.

Seated tickets for tomorrow currently £15 on Central Tickets. Seating is assigned on the day, and you can’t change, it’s whatever they give you.

Well the seated audience will often head off during the after party given they can’t physically join in, but yes, the floor looks pretty sparse too. Really hope they don’t run this for too long and it ends up tarnishing the success it’s been to date.

Tuesdays and Wednesdays have often been full on papering for quite a while (in addition to various offers). For some reason, this show has always had a midweek lull.

So I went to see this for the first time since the OG cast left last night. It’s still in very decent shape.
I’d seen the original lineup five times and I think I’m always going to favour that cast. However, the ‘new’ company managed to hit all the right comedy beats - Operation Mincemeat director, take note!
It is clear Owain Arthur is very comfortable playing Nathan, aided by his three month head start covering Daniel Mays last summer. He had good chemistry with Timmika Ramsay (Adelaide), who was equally as brilliant.
Jonathan Andrew Hulme was solid as Nicely Nicely but didn’t hit the same heights, vocally or comedically, as his predecessor.
The main reason for my visit was to see Celinde one last time. She was exquisite as ever but definitely toned down the energy in If I Were a Bell. She was visibly pregnant in her relatively tight blue dress, which made the line ‘Have a baby!’ all the more amusing in Marry The Man.
As discussed previously on here, the crowd was very, very sparse for a Friday night. Standing must have been half full and there were rows of seats free all around the auditorium. Must have been below 50% sold which is not great for a Friday night, summer holidays or not.
My next visit is likely to be the closing night in January. Last night’s attendance has given me genuine cause to be concerned it might not reach that date, which would be a tragedy for this wonderful piece of theatre.
Five stars again.

I actually think this show would sell more if they quit with the nonsensical £125 seat prices on the Bridge site and brought the tickets down to under £100 across the board - a 30% reduction in listed prices might prompt more people to book ahead instead of lurching from week to week papering / discounting. Personally, I love the show and think it's in great shape - I think the pricing is wrong, especially when other shows (Book of Mormon) have adjusted their prices according to the market.

Impulse booked for tonight because everyone I knew was out at TS or Oklahoma or whatnot, so I grabbed some friends who were still free and mad-dashed to the Bridge. Was a pretty good turnout and it was as electric and fun as ever down in the standing room.
Still such an easy 5*. This NEEDS to be on National Theatre at Home because it's such a brilliant revival.
Theatre Week deals will definitely do this production some good business.

I saw this again last week with a heavily discounted ticket. Even then, someone was sat in my seat. I just sat somewhere else to avoid the fuss. It wasn't too full and I think they could relocated from sone of the empty tickets. It was one of those shows where I almost wished I was in the pit as it looked peaceful.
My biggest shock was fining out that Iroy can speak. He ended up with a few lines. Always one of my favourite ensemble members.
the main leads were on, but otherwise there were a lot of swings and shuffling of parts. They had four people for the interval singers. A show stop during the gay nightclub scene (which they restarted). All relatively smooth, but the energy didn't come across.
Looking forward to seeing Gina Beck and I think that business will pick up.

I went last Thursday to the matinee show, and I think it's the fullest I've seen the theater out of the 4 times I've been. The standing crowd was very alive.
I got my ticket via the Todaytix sale, and paid 35£ A42. Normally restriced view, but the lifts were broke so there was no wheelchair users on the platform. (I think that was the main reason there weren't any) But even if there were, I feel from that seat I was mainly looking more to the right and don't think it would have bothered me if someone was there.
Was hoping to see Celinde before her last shows today, but sadly she wasn't on for that show. (turns out I've only seen her once on stage out of the 4 times).
I also feel that the more I see it, just when you think the perfmance couldn't get more intense, it gets more intense! (might just be me)
2 more shows on the agenda in October for my birthday, once with some colleagues (who hear me talk about it loads and need to know what I'm on about) and once with the boyfriend (will do standing then).
