...to Capitalism and Socialism with a Key to the Scriptures" by Tony Kushner exceeds the maximum threat title length. And the play seems to live up to the length given it ran nearly four hours in New York.
Coming to the Hampstead Theatre, 16 Oct - 26 Nov.

Oof! That'll be a matinee then. Though I do note that starting times are 2pm and 7pm, which is notably earlier in the day for an Upstairs production, so that's nice.

It's three hours 45 minutes with two intervals so it's a long play.

Ah Tony, brevity is not your forte.
I'm very excited to finally get to see this play though.

I had thought 2016's habit of super-long plays was beginning to wane. I see now I was foolish to dare hope.

Yeah, at least all of them are starting earlier. If we had another Uncle Vanya situation on our hands I'd be unhappy, but if they're going to make allowances, I can't be *too* cross. Just weary.

"This newly revisited draft of the play is the result of autumn’s development workshop at Hampstead, led by Kushner and Boyd."
Perhaps Tony Kushner felt the play needed a few extra scenes, and then Michael Boyd may have added some significant pauses to counterbalance all those words words words...

Should wouldn't want to sit in the circle for this.

Just booked for the three new shoes for £13 each thanks to the £15 off of you book all three which applies to the cheap seats at the back of the circle
Top tip - go for the seats with a gap next to them on the seating plan, gap is due to the pillar in the row in front , as a result you can stretch your legs to the side and avoid the legroom problems elsewhere in the circle

I like the "book all three, save £15" discount very much! £28 feels pretty expensive to me while £23 feels far more affordable, so it's a very canny way to get me to book all three shows and treat myself to decent stalls seats too. Nice job, Hampstead. (Now, please don't ruin it by having the play from the thread subject run too long...)

This was the one out of three I didn't fancy, but where are you finding the running time, please? I can't yet see it for any forthcoming production, including Wild, which starts previews soon, and that's as I'd expect, but some idea would have been invaluable for deciding whether I could fit in a matinee of Labyrinth before Our Ladies at 5.30 pm!

There's no running times available for the Hampstead productions themselves yet, but if you scroll up, you'll see that An Intelligent Homosexual's Guide ran for 3 hours and 45 minutes in New York. Obviously this could change for the London run, but depending on how much is business and how much is words, there'll be a limit to how much it could be sped up. Hopefully the other two will prove to be more sensibly paced...

I see, thank you, Baemax. I usually check previous productions if I want an idea, but as one of my two is new and the duration is less critical for the other, I had no means of knowing and wondered whether I'd missed something on the Hampstead site.

You lot are naughty. Enablers - that's what you are. Enablers.
With that cast, it was very hard not to book...

My playwriting teacher saw it and told me it's rubbish... And 3 hours and 40 minutes long
