Can we have Caitlin Kinnunen and Izzy McCalla over to open it please? And Beth Leavel.

Has Beth ever been on the WE? I’d fly back over to see her do it again, she was that fabulous.

A Brit cast for this would be great. Joanna Riding as DeeDee, Ruthie as Angie, Gavin Spokes as Barry and Michael Xavier as Trent...

If anyone from the original cast deserves to be seen on the WE, it’s Brooks Ashmanskas. His Barry is one of the most joyful characters I’ve ever seen.

Ooh I’m very excited by this! A tad surprised to see it take a West End venue though, I’d imagine somewhere small (like the Southwark Playhouse or Charing Cross) for a limited run.

Enjoyed the film but my curiosity was salved. Feel no need to pay London prices to see it on stage.

The west end (Or even off-west end) is desperately in need of some wlw rep, so this is excellent news! I'd love to see it on stage.

Hannah Waddingham could be good. Get the feeling she's a bit busy with TV for now!

How wonderful - the Broadway Cast Recording is great fun and I'd love to see it on stage since I didn't think the Netflix film fulfilled its potential. I hope we get a really classy cast as Barry and Dee Dee in particular need to be old-school stars with musical theatre in their veins.

having seen the show on Broadway before it closed, the Netflix adaptation did a pretty poor job.. with a few moments reworked / expanded on and potentially a redesign, I think it’ll find a decent audience

I saw it on Broadway too and one thing it did not deserve - was to close early, the cast were uniformly fabulous as was the show.
Something to look forward to in the West End, this must be the first post Covid new musical announcement, which is fabulous.
