I wonder if the play will be adapted for a British audience as the Australian legal system isn't quite the same as the British legal system.

Its a one woman play, so a big ask for her, but it looks very interesting and they are promising affordable tickets during the run according to the article.

I wonder if the play will be adapted for a British audience as the Australian legal system isn't quite the same as the British legal system. It's close enough (both are common law jurisdictions) and most people probably won't notice the diffetences. I expect they'll change the court names if they're used (I don't know the play) but not much else.

I love Jodie Comer, and I'm very intrigued by the comment that some tickets will be 'Pay What You Want'. I wonder how that will work? I would love to think it will make theatre more affordable, but the cynical side of me says that people will snap those up, paying the minimum amount, denying genuine fans the chance. If I can get one, I would pay £50 easily. It's the stalls tickets that they want over £80 for I can never justify.

Has anyone received their link to the Theatrecard presale yet?
Edit: It came through as I posted

Tickets are on sale on the ATG site.
Picked up centre stalls row C for £70 which is at the top of my preferred budget but not overly so and almost reasonable for a decent seat.

I wasn't surprised that so many tickets were over £100, but I decided to splash out and get front row for £75, which is more than I would usually spend, but it was more the fact that restricted view balcony seats were £55 so it didn't seem like that much of a difference.

Can any early bookers give a better indication of the range and spread of ticket prices? And is it indicated what the pay what you can scheme refers to?

Usually spread of prices - £15 for restricted seats on level four, £125 for the prime seats in the stalls. No word on PWYW tickets

I have no idea about the Pay What You Want, but it was £75 front row, then in the hundreds for the stalls going back to £75 near the back. Then the circle ranges from top price to £55 restricted view, then the usual £50 down to £15 seats restricted view at the back of the Upper Circle and Gallery.

From the website:
30 tickets are available at every performance as PAY WHAT YOU CAN. Maximum of two per person. Available in person at the theatre box office only at this time. Further details to follow.† †A limited number of Pay What You Can tickets are available to book for advance performances, with an additional allocation only released on the day, for performances that day.
It's an interesting idea. The only place I've done it before is the Almeida. The two people infront of me paid £5 so I did the same. Personally I'd rather they just had the 30 tickets available as rush/dayseats available for £10/£15/£20.

That’s me priced out then. I can afford it. I just don’t want to pay that. I’m sure they will film it and make it available somewhere so I will hold out for that then

Yeah I’ve been happy to pay more for some shows but saw the original Jerusalem and Cock shows and loved them - and would love to see them again with these casts - but that much for a one woman show is hard to justify (however amazing JC is). I don’t see the point in being so far away that facial expressions and nuances are lost

Has anyone received their link to the Theatrecard presale yet? Edit: It came through as I posted Obviously not because it's the worst membership scheme I've ever been part of and I rely on these boards to tell me when they put stuff on sale.

Bought a £30 front of circle ticket that looks OK on seatplan apart from lack of legroom. For Jodie I will cope.

Well this is another exciting announcement! What with this, Amy Adams and Saoirse Ronan (if I can get tickets of course), as well as still needing to see ALW’s CINDERELLA, I’m going to be bankrupt!
I’m presuming that Jodie is doing all performances of this as it is only a limited run?

For anyone that missed the initial ticket release before it totally sold out (like me!), this morning they've released some more tickets at various price points for 2 dates: 17th May and 14th June.

Was just able to get a (not so great) single for May. Can’t believe this entire thing sold out as fast as it did!
