Kind of weird to have a Beatles episode with no Beatles music but apparently it's very expensive to license.

They could have used the opening chord from a Hard Day's Night I suppose.
Using characters like the Beatles could the living members or the estates of the deceased ones have objected to their likeness being used I wonder?
Using original music can be very expensive but having someone cover it would make it cheaper or they could have had the Beatles doing one of their early rock and roll covers.
I like how Ncuti dresses differently for the various eras. A lot of former Drs have stayed in their usual ensembles whilst the sidekicks would dress "era specific".
Jinx's character can surely return in due course and you have another good recurring villain

My theory is that this entire series is in an alternative universe so things will look different. There have been clues like the butterfly.

Loved the Ruby-centric episode this week. I did wonder if she’d be chasing herself but at least it wasn’t that obvious. (Great to see Aneurin Barnard again, although I’d rather see him on Sunday night at the Spring Awakening reunion).

A mixed season overall. No spoilers here for the final episode.
Other than they got the sound mix badly wrong. The underscore music was far too prominent in the mix. The dialogue was frequently obscured by the orchestral swell.
Gatwa's diction didn't help.
I did spend a lot of time adjusting the volume to try to catch stuff and failed.

Generally I enjoyed this series. Bonnie was the highlight in the finale but a great performance from Gatwa who was very clear all series but the last episode was a disaster.

The last episode was indeed a disaster! Crappy CGI dusty dog monster, who may well have appeared before in a Tom Baker story, but hasn’t been referenced since! Assuming that your viewer is an avid geek of the show, and remembers a call back from forty odd years ago is reaching of the highest order. The result was beyond meh, and did Gatwa’s run a disservice. I appreciated Ruby’s story not being linked to anything else, and just being given the space to resolve itself. Ruby was ace, Bonnie was ace, Jemma was ace, Dobson was a mystery, but most of all I loved Gatwa. I just wish he’d been given better stuff to work with.
