When I was at the Palladium last week I asked one of the FOH staff if they had heard anything and he told me that they had just had their rosters for January and the concert was on the roster as he is due to work that night.

"More tickets to be released soon" is currently stated on the LW Theatres booking page for Taboo.

I think it will go ahead, but casting might depend on who can make it on the day, given the current covid numbers. Although he is currently playing King George on Broadway, i will be slighly disappointed if Euan Morton doesnt make an appearance. Will Luke Evans be there, now he is a big film star?

Hello all. Never done this but-there’s a first time for everything! The concert is happening. Subject to all the usual stuff but its sold out-although the final 100 tickets held back will be released around January 21st Cast still being confirmed but many of the big names all committed as long as they dont catch you know what It is a concert format. Will raise lots for the charities and should be fun. Those actors based overseas are unlikely to make it in person but hopefully they will participate and join the evening in some way. It’s thrilling to see what has happened to all those performers since we built that great show and I built that little 325 seat theatre in that church basement. They were fun times. Mostly! The artists-writers, actors, George, Chris-everyone have been som wonderful in making this happen. It will be a rollercoaster but isnt that the point! Sorry the tickets are so expensive-but my priority was raising as much for the charities as possible-we will have some rush on the day and some sponsoered tickets that George and I are paying for as well that will be released a few days prior. Please keep going to all theatre as much as you can. We need it now-perhaps more than ever. Adam

Thank you Adam for the update really appreciated can’t believe it’s so long ago now I loved it so much travelled from Birmingham 9 times to catch it …. Also the tours … and the London production a few years back Such a fab show can’t wait for the anniversary evening coming from the midlands to see it so was getting anxious… They had so many fabulous performers over the years so plenty to choose from for the evening many have gone on to glittering careers . Really hope there are some surprises on the night and would love to hear maybe a song from the USA production

Everyone we have asked has been very willing and enthusiastic. Obviously, we can’t announce anything until much nearer the time because of risk of very probable changes due to covid etc. The concert is very much a celebration of the original London production and the music and content of that show. We have a few things that we hope will be nice surprises-but again-it’s not right to promise anything specific as it’s a constantly moving target at the moment. Sorry if that’s not what you want to hear, but at the moment, I can’t say more. I don’t want to disappoint anyone. Thank you so much for the information on the Leigh Bowery exhibition. Much appreciated.

I'd love a full revived production of the west end version. Would be great at somewhere like the Menier or Southwark playhouse

I guess that depends on whether she watched the commentary on the 2nd disc of the Taboo DVD!

Maybe a controversial opinion, but I prefer a lot of the changes made for the Broadway production; Cutting Billy, his mum and dad and Petal the placement of songs, the orchestrations and It's the Broadway recording I listen to the most, Liz McCartney, the 5 part Out of Fashion!! It didn't all work, so i'd love to see a hybrid production some day.

I think the best version is somewhere between the two productions, with a better integrated sub-plot. Some of the new musical arrangements on Broadway were thrilling.
And of course, the score still stands as arguably the best British score of this century!

I know where Im sitting but have not received an email with the qr codes. If you booked through LW theatres then you will receive your e-ticket 24 hours before the show. This is who I booked mine through and just checked the confirmation e mail that states you will get the ticket the day before. I think this is standard procedure with LW Theatres.

I booked a seat in the front row of the dress circle, and in my haste to book, didnt check TheatreMonkey beforehand. Apparently there is very little legroom in row A and as someone who is 6'1, this is going to be a struggle. Anyone have a single seat in the stalls and be willing to swap? I know its a long shot, but its worth asking.
Maybe i can get another seat when the last few go on sale, though i think that is going to be a scrum to get one.

There are currently two seats for Taboo @ £160 available in the centre of row K of the stalls through London Theatre Direct. They can be purchased individually - I got as far as checkout with one just to check.
