Have seen tweets alluding to posters already being put up in London of the new cast for this. Anyone seen it and know who it is (beyond Bonnie & Clyde of course) - super excited to know who may else be reprising their roles or new cast! Jodie Steele as Blanche, Dom Hartley-Harris will be the preacher George Maguire and Cleve September returning

I'm listening to the soundtrack (and the live 54 Below recording) for the first time and enjoying it. Some of it sounds weirdly familiar though. I think it must just be the style, but the cut song "This Never Happened Before" sounds like a combination of The Rainbow Connection, Nobody Does it Better, and California Moon to me!
Has anybody booked for the new production?

Has anybody booked for the new production? Yes, I’ve booked for this at the Garrick. I haven’t seen it before, but I do like some of Frank Wildhorn’s music (I know that’s not everyone’s view!) and I think there are some good songs in here. Hoping the leads in this are every bit as good as their Broadway counterparts.

Does anyone know why there’s no performance on 8 March? It seems early for press night?

Anyone there tonight, can you report back on the height of the stage and also how the show has changed now that there are no longer young Bonnies and Clydes? Thanks

I am 5ft 3 and sat front row big could see everything perfectly. Picture show is now sang by Frances and Jordan and the act 2 monologue usually done by young Clyde is just done by Jordan. The duet between Ted and Bonnie has been cut and a reprise of now that’s what you call a dream has been added. There are a few scene changes, there is one in particular right at the end between Ted and Bonnie’s mum that completely broke me. I absolutely adored this last night. The lack of young Bonnie/Clyde will take some getting used to but the show is really in top form. I am already booked for 3 more shows and I am likely going to rush quite a few more. Absolutely incredible!

The audience was really enjoying it. I thought it was better presented at The Arts last year. This production of the show has less heart. New supporting cast are also weak.

Thoroughly enjoyed this tonight. Jordan is still great and Frances has only gotten better, giving an even more rich performance as Bonnie. The surprise to me was Jodie Steele. I had been disappointed Natalie wasn't continuing on but Steele was phenomenal and, for me, the performance I'll be thinking about from tonight. I don't know if I'll have another chance to catch this before it's closing (if it actually will be closing), but I'm going to make sure to try to get to it at least once more.

For me it was Cleve September, there were times where it felt like he just stood on stage awkwardly. He had a great voice though. I actually thought that about Cleve last year at the Arts. But I convinced myself it was just me/it was his character.

Got to say I'm not a fan of all the fans quote tweeting all the national 2 star reviews and basically saying that these reviewers know absolutely nothing and that the show is brilliant - it's really embarrassing

Whether it be social media, forums, stage door or just to friends and family

Sure, but to actually go out and quote tweet national reviewers like Time Out and The Stage and be like 'you wouldn't know talent if it sat on you' is incredibly childish no?

Yes, but i wouldnt say its anything new. It seems to describe 90% of twitter when they see an opinion that differs from theirs.

Agreed, it’s cringe af. I really enjoy the show but the negative reviews are completely fair opinions, it’s not like they’ve been unnecessarily rude about the show. I even saw Dan Looney, one of the producers, replying to a negative review, but then we shouldn’t be surprised because he was also the one moaning about us last summer when we said the Arts run didn’t actually sell out 😭 Immaturity all around!

Saw this on Friday night after LOVING it at the Arts and I left feeling a little underwhelmed. Partly my fault for sitting in N1 of the stalls, against the wall so I missed the right side of the stage and was very partially blocked by a pillar. I felt a little out of the action, I’d sat middle of the stalls in the arts and it was all a little more intense there I think. Frances and Jordan are still stellar, as is Jodie as Blanche. I missed the children in this, think it’s a real loss removing them. I left the arts ready to walk back in the next day and see it again but I didn’t this time and apart from the seat and slight changes, I can’t quite put my finger on why!

Saw the matinee on Saturday the 18th.
Half the cast weren't there. The only principal was Jodie Steele. Even the understudy Bonnie was off so a swing was on who didn't have the voice for the part and forgot lyrics.
Preacher was off as well. The whole show was just very low energy and with most the cast off had an uncertain air.
Was a real shame as I loved some of the songs. Kinda want to go back to see it with Jordan and Francis as I didn't get a proper show.
