I got rush for the matinee today (row C circle). Curious to compare it with the concert.

Saw this afternoon; I guess the set issues have been ironed out as I really liked it and thought it was most impressive. How it fits in the dinky arts I'll never know! but some really nice flys and projections.
A solid production of a show that I would have thought they'd want one last go at polishing up, there's still a couple of clunky moments, lots of fast-forwarding, and one or two moments that could have been cut but otherwise I really really enjoyed it.
Such a good score and for me act one is almost unskippable! The leads were great, a shame JLG is so pretty that its almost hard to take him seriously as a bad boy, his "Bonnie" number was his best. Francis was really nice but is hampered with quite an erratic character arc, Natalie is giving a little too much quirk for my liking (although that could just be her wig as it was... not good!) but she's very good, as is Buck (my apologies cant remember his name). But again a very solid cast.
I would say if you have an inkling to go, go and see it. I really liked it despite it not being perfect, but it felt exciting and new for the London scene.

I thought it was great. Really helped that I was familiar with the score having seen the concert a few months back. It’s a really tight piece of musical theatre writing with a very strong score. Definitely better than pretty much all the best new musical nominees at this years Oliviers for sure. Was a splattering of empty seats yesterday, I’m sure word of mouth will pick up and it will have a fairly successful run.

I've booked to go on Sunday based on the excitement here and the What's On Stage review. Very excited as I haven't been to a new (to me) musical in quite some time!

Having gone to watch the show tonight, this really was a great night out. Having got the stalls J17 seat for £22.50 thanks to viserys’s post, this seat turned out to be a real bargain to watch this show. Going into the show with very little knowledge about it from a musical score point of view, those Act 1 numbers were each a belter and along with Act 2’s “Dyin’ Ain’t So Bad” a fantastic number, the show certainly won me over in no time at all. Those songs are certainly worth listening to again. A great cast here been assembled here with all of them giving great performances and vocals. I loved Natalie McQueen as Blanche and her partnership with George Maguire as Buck provided some great comic moments, particularly in Act 1. Frances Mayli McCann and JLG’s partnership worked well and had real chemistry. A big shout out to the two youngsters - Finn Barwell and Aiya Augustin did a fantastic job in opening the show. I thought the staging of the show was very effective great use of the video screen from designer Nina Dunn made great use of the ARTS theatre stage. It as a nice touch aduring the bows to bring out the entire 7 piece band to be included in the applause. Overall, it was definitely worth taking a punt on this show. Rating 5⭐️

Are there any plans for this to extend? I hadn't thought about seeing this show originally but after all the good feedback I now want to. I've got a trip to London planned in August but if it doesn't extend it would mean another trip down before that

I tried a standing ticket on Friday. Very comfortable as there's a padded area to lean your backside against. Also, these are only £12 if you book through Ticketmaster.
There were empty seats so many people upgraded during the interval but I kept standing as there's a clear view (and it's a small theatre, so you don't feel too far back).
This was my first viewing and I didn't know the music, so not sure I've formed a full opinion yet. The performances were very good, especially from Frances Mayli McCann. Great to see Cleve September and Alistair So as well (and answers my question as to what show Alistair is an - I passed him in the West End earlier in the week).
The sound from the nightclub carrying through is a bit annoying, so I might try for a matinee if I get back again.
Finally, for anyone worried about gunshots, there are lots of them (especially in quick bursts), but they are recordings and aren't too overwhelming, especially at the back. Some right at the start, then several batches in the second half. Lots of prop guns being waved around. None of this should be a surprise given the subject matter, but if there are trigger warnings in the venue, I must have walked past them without noticing them.

if there are trigger warnings in the venue, I must have walked past them without noticing them I'm almost certain there are. I have vague recollections of a list of content warnings posted up on the door, but the only one I specifically recall is the rather oblique 'intimacy'. I'm sure guns/gunshots must have been on the list too.

I went this afternoon and I’m not quite sure what to make of it. Natalie McQueen was excellent and owned the show for me which must mean I feel a bit flat about the other leads. I only knew one song going in, ‘You Love Who You Love’, and I would have paid the ticket price to see that one song alone but, maybe because in this instance I had prior expectations, I was pretty disappointed with its performance.
I did find a couple of parts quite moving and liked the varying styles of the songs but I wanted to really love it and didn’t. There didn’t seem anything alluring about Clyde to me and no explanation as to why it took Bonnie 0.1 of a second to run off with him. First act seemed very long but was only just over an hour.
As an aside, the demographic of audience members was different to what I was expecting. I thought it would be people who remember the film from when it first came out, and there were quite a few people in that group, but there were also a lot of people who I would usually think of as fangirls in their late teens. Many of them had come alone so no shrieking except for a small one when Frances first came out. I’ve never been to a Sunday matinee before so maybe that’s why the demographic was different as I usually see things on a weeknight, or maybe it was Jordan Luke Gage. Anyway, not what I was expecting.

Has anyone got any details of if Jordan isn’t doing any particular shows each week? Looks like someone isn’t happy he isn’t doing a Sunday and he replied saying they will be seeing the alternate?
Can’t see an ‘alternate’ listed on the website or any details on the website to suggest he wouldn’t be doing all shows.

Not great a look for him to only now announce when it would have been known he would have a off show - especially when you a rabid fan base like he does.

Bit naughty of them not to have it noted on the website somewhere, even if there wasn't a schedule they should be stating there's an alternate so people have their expectations set. I assume it's Barney Wilkinson?

"You paid for Bonnie and Clyde, you're getting Bonnie and Clyde. Check the terms and conditions"
I'm sure the cover will be fine to be honest.

Answering my own question - yes it's Barney and there's also Lauren Jones as alternate Bonnie on Tuesdays. And they really need to be making that clear somewhere (personally I hope to see both).

Saw today's matinee and really enjoyed it. Was a bit unsure about Jordan as Clyde to begin with, but warmed up to him by the end of Act 1. The whole cast was great, but particularly loved Blanche and Buck.
My main issue with today's visit was just the general chaos of the Arts Theatre. Struggled to get through the door due to the bar queue and then trying to get out at the interval was a nightmare. I'd hate to be in there if there was a fire and needed to evacuate quickly.

There’s some good advance discounts for this on TodayTix right now for anyone who doesn’t want to risk rush, although I just picked up a rush ticket now and there’s still plenty left for tonight, so doesn’t seem to be a tricky one. This doesn’t seem to be selling brilliantly in general, I was expecting (and I think they were hoping) for it to be almost selling out like Six and Heathers did in their small theatres, Six in this very venue of course. I thought it had a similar cult status to Heathers with young Broadway fans and the casting of Jordan and Frances as Heathers alumini would have helped too but I guess not as much as they hoped.

Also just seen that today will be the debut of Lauren Jones as Bonnie, deliberately held off going last night because they literally just said she’d be doing Tuesdays and wanted to see both Jordan and Frances. I’m sure she’ll be great anyway but does it really hurt to just give people a schedule and stick to it!

So… today I saw Bonnie and Clyde! What an incredible show. Just after Blanche and Bonnie sang “love who you love” there was an announcement that there was a technical difficult with the show. After about ten minutes, it was announced that the show was to continue but the part of Clyde was played by Barney. Absolutely incredible! Cannot believe that he made his debut just before the first half ended.
Not sure what happened to Jordan, but really hope he’s okay and sending all the cast my best wishes x
