There’s a great offer on band A tickets now for £37.50 - I’ve upgraded my row M stalls seats for central row D. Weekday performances only, Friday inclusive. On which website?

I found it through their Instagram page, but I called the box office at the Arts and they were happy simply to exchange the tickets for the same performance.

It was good!
I don't think they'd finished teching it because there were bits of set that moved on their own when they weren't meant to but it didn't detract from the show.
The score is a stone cold banger and it's so good to hear it in full at long last. It really did highlight how weak the book is though and you can see why the NY critics weren't kind.
Cast are really solid - I really hope this catapults Natalie McQueen to the next stage of her career because she is so talented she should be up there with the likes of Lucie Jones and Samantha Barks - such a nuanced performance. Frances is an absolute delight as Bonnie - her rendition of Dyin Ain't So Bad is stunning and a real high point of the piece. I liked Jordan as Clyde, but don't think he's found the rough edge yet, but it was preview 1 so they've got time (and let's not forget he was rehearsing this whilst performing &Juliet - must be knackered!)
Lots of fun projections which you kind of have to do with a space like the Arts - you can't do much with the space. Side note - they really need to bulldoze the arts and start again because it's a hole - I went across the street and used the loos in Five Guys at the interval because it's...grim (top tip Pret and Five Guys are both better options!)
I think I'd say 3 stars for now, but 4 stars once the little niggling bits are sorted.

They definitely need to tighten up the scene changes here as they are incredibly awkward right now, but I'm sure they'll get better. Hopefully knock over fewer lamps. Frances' 'Dying Ain't So Bad' is gorgeous - definitely the highlight. I agree with the above that the score is really great in general. I actually really like the Arts. I guess I just have a soft spot for it. They do need to open the house earlier, though, as they just don't have the Front of House space for everyone to be crammed in waiting in the bar. I'm still of the opinion that Operation Mincemeat would fit in there very nicely one day, so I certainly hope they don't raze it to the ground!

I went off the back of the hype and rave reviews on here from the concert. I really didn't get on with this show.
This was my first exposure to this musical in any capacity (I knew the basic plot, nothing else), and it is a shame this production is so amateurish. It felt under rehearsed, *extremely* cheap and - honestly - it felt like am dram. That said, I don't think I'd go again even if this was restaged "properly".
Technically speaking it is very loose, lots of missed cues, lengthy scene changes while all hell is breaking loose on stage(!).
The show itself just didn't work for me and I found the music largely forgettable.
The performances are fine - Jonathan Luke Gage has a splendid voice, but is rather unconvincing as a menace to society and all-round "bad egg". I'll leave it at that... Frances Mayli McCann is fine.
The whole thing sort of comes and goes without any gravitas, it feels like fluff, and I can't tell if it's meant to. I liked "The World Will Remember Us" - the only song I can actually remember and one I listened to on the train home.
First time back at the Arts for ages and it is worse than ever. The toilet situation is dire, not helped by some sort of incident pre-show (alcohol related I believe - disgusting) and the whole place is generally just awful. The bar pre-show was rammed, no notices or announcements to wear masks, and when you finally get to sit down on the most uncomfortable seats in the universe and look around, you realise what a dump the place is.
So no, bad production, mediocre show, rubbish venue. Apart from that, all good. Had a delicious Five Guys beforehand 👍

Average shows are always improved by a cheeky 5 Guys beforehand 🤣

Strange how much incredible hype there was for the Drury Lane concert, yet it's all gone very quiet and flat now that this "fan favourite" show has actually been staged as a production.
I get the feeling that some felt the concert was a "special event" not to be repeated, which elevated some of the opinions expressed on here. I think we've all been caught in the moment like that at least once! That or it was genuinely miles better than what I saw a few nights ago.
Either way, if you are a fan of the show, I certainly wouldn't wait until the end of the run to see it, they need your support now.

I saw yesterday's matinee and there was only a handful of empty seats. It's as fully staged as anything I've seen at the Arts and I enjoyed it even more than the concert. Not a weak link in the cast. Very positive audience reaction.
I was in stalls row BB which is the front row and seats there only costs £20 plus the booking fee which is a bargain as it's a perfect view, not a particularly high stage and really close to the performers. I've just booked two further visits in the same position. There is very little availability in that row already and I predict the remaining seats there will soon all be gone.

I saw it Wednesday evening and thought it was very good. I love the score anyway, so I knew I'd probably like it, but it was really very good. Frances, Natalie and George were all fantastic. Jordan sang it brilliantly - and Raise A Little Hell was spectacular, but I was a little less convinced about him being a criminal in love with Bonnie in other parts.

Annie Guy (female swing) is doing an Instagram takeover on London Theatre Direct’s account today and she has confirmed that they’re doing a cast recording.

Are the leads scheduled to do all performances or are there alternates? I did look at the website and it doesn’t say, unless it’s tucked away on there somewhere.

There are understudies, but I'm almost certain JLG and Frances are scheduled to do 8 shows a week.

A real mix of reviews for this it looks like, with 5 stars from a lot of bloggers, and then a lot of both 4 stars and 2 stars from the guardian/whatsonstage etc.
I saw it on Saturday and have to say I didn't particularly enjoy it. There were a couple of good songs, and the cast were very strong, especially JLG and FMM, both amazing as Bonnie and Clyde. But the whole show fell a bit flat for me, and I was bored for a lot of it. Far from the worst thing I've seen recently, but I won't be rushing back before it closes.

It does seem really mixed for this show which surprised me after how excitable people seemed after the concert. I saw it last night with zero knowledge of the show and absolutely loved it to my surprise. I didn't have major problems with the book, though I wonder if I might change my mind on a second viewing. Some bits felt a bit rushed but that was all. I loved almost all of the songs and thought the cast were phenomenal. I agree JLG is a bit pretty for a criminal but this only really seemed to matter in act 2 where he's in suits constantly. His acting, particularly in act 1, was impressive. The vocals from JLG and Francis were just gorgeous, and the (mostly if not completely sold out) audience were very enthusiastic after each song. Also Natalie McQueen was hilarious and really stood out to me, and the girl playing Young Bonnie is a future star IMO - just luminous (I think it was Bea on?).

Standing tickets are £13 (dont know if its been mentioned before if so my apologies!)
Seem to be put on sale on the day regardless of if its sold out or not, also rush on TT, wish I'd have held out for rush instead of getting one of the cheap side seats, I already am familiar with the show so dont mind a restricted view. But incase anyone is curious and wants to pick up a cheap ticket!
