For those who like me snapped up the original scarce edition for about 50 quid this is a bit annoying- but for everybody else good news. The cd has been re-released for £12 on Amazon.
It's really worth it if you've never heard the show.

I saw this with Babs Dickson in 2000. I was working a 2 month stint at the Millennium Dome because my employer had one of the "zones" there. Jesus, that really taught me how much sh*t FOH and people who work face to face with the public put up with. You're either bored out of your brain or dealing with complete nobs.
Anyway back to Spend x3, ALW was in the audience and he left at the interval. I loved it. Saw the CRH Watermill actor/musician tour a few years ago and loved it again.
If you're interested in Viv's story the origininal book of the same name is a fantastic read. Dirty glamour with the stench of sweat.

I have the original CD. I don't even remember how I got it..could it possibly be through precious Dress Circle way back in the day? I never saw the original, but every queen in town was raving about it, so I bought it. Little did I know it would be a collector's gem. Watermill did a production a few years ago. Would be nice to get it done in London again, not necessarily in a big West End house.

Trinity Laban did a production at Stratford Circus last year. Really enjoyed it.

I have the original CD and programme, bought mine at the theatre. The CD used to be worth quite a bit of money on ebay etc and so I always thought that one day if I am really desperate for money then I could sell it, now they have released it again for a tenner or so and thats bu**ered up my plans. Damm. I will now die a poor man!

There was a production at the Union a year or so ago. My first introduction to the show, other than having heard of the title before. Totally and utterly loved it!!!

Saw the original, and then again at the old Half Moon theatre years and years ago. They used to do some good stuff there- Sweeney Todd, Moll Flanders... The Watermill version was good too.

I don't think so. She's too old for Young Viv now, and not right for the older Viv. For a start, she's too young.
