Meanwhile, from the Help Centre section of the NT's website:
"The National Theatre car park is large but can become very busy, especially on Saturdays and other matinee days. We recommend that you arrive early to ensure you can find a place to park."
It was only yesterday that I was sent an email by Opera North inviting me to pay £25 to become 'carbon literate'. I would get a recognised certificate, and everything!

Don't we already know its a climate emergency?
Perhaps spending less money on sets and costumes could be a good place to start.

Their argument that as they are a National theatre they need to continue to tour around the world seems unconvincing - just stream via NT Live ?
As for putting on plays which explicitly address the issue, I imagine they’d be just preaching to the already converted.
Maybe stick to sorting out the building.

The RSC are showing the way on climate change - don't put on any productions at all so no-one has to travel.
