I’ve not had anything off them, but then I’m not going until New Year, so maybe I will nearer the time. And that’s the issue. They should really email all ticket holders rather than doing it bit by bit. The press have made more of a fuss about masks being enforced at Moloun Rouge than this despite this being more unique and intrusive. The thing is, you email early and people will forget. A few weeks is enough time and also, things are constantly changing with this virus and guidelines and everything, also case numbers.

I'm starting to think hairspray57 is over-exaggerating again.

It was reported in the press the Government was planing on scrapping them from January. The price of these tickets, I'm sure most will be able to afford a test. Also, you can't really be arguing the price if you're going to get a solicitor to argue against it, that'll cost a lot more. It’s unethical to expect people to pay an extra charge which was not part of the original purchase.

They're leaving it a bit late to announce these lovely cheap table seats available through the lottery aren't they. Looks like a TodayTix lottery has finally been announced, stating from Monday!

Speaking from experience people don't read anything, no matter now clear you make it. However if you're implementing a new policy you really should email everyone already with the announcement then send a reminder nearer the event. Just good practice

Then just send another one closer to the date. I really don't see your problem, you've had a few weeks notice, you can't take the test until a few days before, so you're not caught off guard. It's really no big deal.

Asking for negative tests as well as proof of vaccination is asking for trouble. I get the thought behind it but people spending 100s on tickets, transport etc and then finding out they can't go...likely won't end well. Or people just won't book. Which might be OK for big sellers but other shows could be impacted if it becomes wide spread

If you have never taken a lateral flow test before the chance of making an error is high. Bound to be quite a few people caught out because they just find it all a struggle to do.

They've clearly been considering the case numbers and approaching winter and adapted to conditions. If the government decide to scrap free tests, that's not their problem. And even if they start charging, it's bound to be reasonable for a kit that contains multiples.

Not sure about that. Lateral flow tests are not exactly pleasant things. And many people do simply find things like that difficult and there is no free or even cheap way to grt someone to do it for you.

Missing the point. It's not the test, it's the fact that they may not be able to go if they test positive and then lose money on what they have booked and planned.

The Government will have obviously decided they not an effective tool against Covid.

Most places will transfer or refund your booking in this instance. No money lost, and you can see the show in two weeks when you don't have a virus that you might spread to everyone else there. Everybody wins!

It's more to the fact it's an intimate production with limited capacity so they need to avoid the cast getting ill as much as possible.

So, you'd rather they unknowingly carry the virus into a theatre full of people? There can't be perfect solutions devised. They did offer the insurance which you could have opted for if booking the more expensive seats.

People up and down the country have been doing them multiple times a week for months for some jobs. If the idea of one LFT puts you off going to a show, you didn't want to go that much in the first place.

Just good practice I do think the producers of Cabaret assume most people test regularly at home as that is what the theatre industry all do but in wider society it’s not as common. I estimate at least 20% of the audience have never taken an home lateral flow test before.

It isn't unique to COVID.
