Most touring musicals are too big for Brighton - they cannot get them in.

I can see me taking the train from London to Birmingham sometime in November around my visit to Hamilton.

Most touring musicals are too big for Brighton - they cannot get them in. Very true sadly. Apparently the scenery doors are the smallest of any major theatre in Britain. Bigger productions always go to Eastbourne down here in Sussex.

excited this is touring again but wary as Rias performance at the launch was pretty average I thought. Hopefully she is much better live in character.
Fully expecting Ben Richards, or maybe Richard Fleeshman as Joe. Someone along those lines, I'll be surprised if there are no names at all in it

Richard Fleeshman would be a bit young but an interesting choice.
Anyone know if there are any dates planned in Jones's homeland of Wales?

Does Ria do the show in an american accent or does she do standard British? When i saw the show at the ENO, I saw La Close

Norma is American and it's set in LA. This is not Wicked or Lion King.

See it is staying outside the M25, so maybe looking at a West End revival. Or possibly because it's just been in the West End?! No a tour avoids inside the M25 venes, such as Bromley, Wimbledon or Richmond is a sign they want to bring the show into the West End, as they don't want to do anything to jeopardise the anticipated West End production. The producer may then want to take pause and gauge reviews, reactions and most importantly ticket sales. This will give a good direction where to go next, could be the West End, maybe more dates and venues on the road, they will come inside the M25 at this point, if a decision has been made not to go into the West End or they could just call it a day after the initial tour. If anything I would say the limited ENO production would strengthen this to come into the West End, especially with Ria Jones onboard. Spamalot would be a good example and has the same producer.

PoL, Sunset is due to play Wimbledon in 2018, so I would assume a transfer probably isn't on the cards.

Okay didn't know that, that has been confirmed yet, but see you have a good grasp on what's going on with this tour. So a West End revival will be very unlikely.

I have people that tell me things haha what I would say is that these things can change quickly, I've seen venues/shows that were "confirmed" just drop off seemingly out of nowhere, so never rule anything in/out. But at present, it does look like West End is unlikely.

Jennifer DiNoia also did the American accent... but she only did it for 3 months so there wasn't too much reason to worry about the accent. But, as you say, youhaven't seen it gor years so you wouldn't be aware.

Finally booked tickets for this. Saw it at ENO and enjoyed it, but it wasn't without its faults. Going to see how this tour bears up.

As long as Ria wears a turban...I am there!

I don't think the Kathryn Evans/Craig RH production featured any turbans either - only in the Eternal Youth number.
And on the first UK Tour, Faith Brown maybe had 1 or 2 turbans - bit less than the original.

Manchester and Newcastle didn't go on sale today as advertised.
