Hi, I know Sunny Afternoon is booking until the end of June and starting a tour in August, but does anyone know if it is likely to extend or it is just assumed it will end in June and the cast will go on tour

Whatever it does, I think it has exceeded everyone's expectations! It really is the little show that could...

It is being heavily marketed at my local venue for the tour. Will be interested to see how ticket sales go.

Just saw the tour tonight. Absolutely hated this show in London and have been telling people as much ever since, however, tonight I absolutely LOVED it! Laughed, felt tense, clapped along at the end (shudder- it was at the request of the performers but I actually WANTED to for once! ). Cast really did it for me this time round, especially Ryan O'Donnell as Ray and Mark Newnham as Dave. Brilliant! Still hated that 'stop singing so we can talk about this' line but nevermind! I'm going to have to start recommending this to people now after all this time, aren't I? 😂

I went to see it in London because tickets were MUCH cheaper than for the tour at my local venue, which is selling well.
Still wasn't worth the price, imo. I was not a fan. Interesting that talkstageytome liked the tour much better than the London version.
I agree with her on the 'stop singing so we can talk about this' line!

Saw this tonight at the Orchard Theatre in Dartford. I thought it was a bit slow at the beginning but it soon got going and was great, and very loud!
A very good cast, some of whom played numerous roles and the whole thing was great fun. The singing, the dancing and the clothes all took me back to the 60's and I loved it!
The audience were all much the same age (don't think I saw anyone under 50)but I think we were all transported back to that great era for a little while. Nostalgia is a wonderful thing.
