I’d probably go for Gethsemane from that list!

I am finding it almost impossible to choose just one. Still not made my mind up.

Yeah Gethsemane or One Day More for me from that list although quite why Corner of the Sky wouldn’t be on there is beyond me.

I have gone for One Day More in the end . Several songs in one I guess!

Let's hope for a CD Box Set with all the shortlist.
It's between the two from Les Miserables for me.
Maybe we could have a poll here and see how it compares with the final outcome ?

Very, very difficult!
I think One Day More, The Room Where it Happens and Send in the Clowns would be my top 3, although the Hamilton one is as much for the staging as the song.
One Day More gets my vote I think, for the sheer power of the different layered parts and how every main character (apart from Fantine of course) gets their own narrative in the song.

I've gone for What I did for love from Chorus Line but its a hard list to choose from. My favourite though isn't on the list - Sunday from Sunday in the park with George.

But don't worry they included This is Me from the Greatest Showman... bound to trample all the competition with popular non-theatre going types

Some startling omissions from that list...and Dear Evan Hansen *twice*, really?
I've opted for 'Maria' from WSS.

A lack of songs from older shows, I feel. Only one Rodgers & Hammerstein song on the list, and I'm rather surprised at that choice as I would think "You'll Never Walk Alone" is more popular than "If I Loved You". Only one song by the Gershwins & nothing at all by Porter. I'm also surprised there's nothing from Phantom.

This list is so depressing.
It’s obvious Les Mis will win. So Radio 2.

Voted before I read what others posted.
I went with ‘Bring Him Home’ Les Miserable and was surprised other posters have too.
I know many songs have been left off, but the list has to stop somewhere, however I am proper angry their is nothing from Stephen Ward.

From what Elaine was saying, this is going to be just one part of a whole host of MT programmes on Radio 2 over that weekend.
