Above pessimism notwithstanding... a quick heads-up for anyone else booking through London Theatre Direct - their re-issued confirmation email advised the rescheduled date but the e-ticket attached was still for the original date. I emailed and they've immediately sent the correct e-ticket, but best to find out now rather than on the day of the show which is when I'd usually dig out the ticket for a once-over! Thanks for that info - I got my "old" date/seats as well, but figured since it was July only, they simply let us keep our seats on that date. Will email them and check!

I was on the verge of booking the tour at the lowry but decided to hold off. It’s not going to happen on those dates, no way.

Sadly I agree. I can’t see anyway this can open in the next 6 months without a severely reduced capacity, if at all.
I just hope if /when it’s delayed- that Megan M will still be able to do the show.
Was so looking forward to this one 😢😢😢

‘Singin’ in the Rain’ would be really good for the soul about now. When it happens I’m there.

Just got my rearranged date for this of 9th June, so looks like they anticipate opening before the 21st June with a socially distanced audience.

They'll need to shuffle people around for the first couple of shows if so and they're pretty well sold, so whether they'll have sufficient capacity to do so is debatable. Suspect my date may yet change again!

Has this been postponed again? I have a look and you can’t buy tickets before 23rd July now

While it sounds right is that a reliable source? (It’s flagged as Wicked the Musical news)

It's disappeared off the Lowry's website so it looks like it's been pulled to accommodate the Barbican delay.

The new performance schedule for ANYTHING GOES starring Megan Mullally, Robert Lindsay, Felicity Kendal and Gary Wilmot. The show will now open at London’s Barbican Theatre on Friday 23 July for a strictly limited 12 week season until Sunday 17 October.

To me, that's fairly realistic (provided nothing goes too drastically wrong...!)

I’ve swiftly booked Socially Distanced Prince of Egypt to replace it on my calendar. I’ll wait and see what happens to this cursed TodayTix booking (Waitress, Secret Garden, Christmas Carol, Anything Goes so far!)

Interesting casting choice Haydn Oakley as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh! 😄 I think he's fairly suitable for the role. The incongruity is that they've cast a Reno Sweeney who is decades older than both the character was envisaged to be and than he is.

The Lowry are refunding all ticket holders for the cancelled dates in September so it looks like the tour isn't being rescheduled.

The truth is being spoken I mean, he has a point. But I think it’s a bit unfair to compare an actual full poster design against a social media banner.

The truth is being spoken I mean, he has a point. But I think it’s a bit unfair to compare an actual full poster design against a social media banner. The overall marketing of this production has been to put it lightly... crap. The 3D logo is boringly hideous. It's a shame because the marketing for the broadway production was elegant and beautiful and I thought that was going to be revived. The bursting LED lights used as backgrounds for the website and pretty much all images has literally nothing to do with the show or it's set design. It's all about trying to seem glitzy and over glamorous which unfortunately British audiences have come to expect in musical marketing. It feels like a panto more than anything.

The incongruity is that they've cast a Reno Sweeney who is decades older than both the character was envisaged to be and than he is. Reno's age has become more ambiguous over the years being played by women of all ages which works fine but Kathleen's production requires Reno to be very physical - she has a lot of dancing during the title number and needs to immediately go back into singing. Sutton Foster, Stephanie J Block and Rachel York made it look effortless in previous versions of her productions but and I'm a bit worried about Meghan's casting. Maybe some choreography will be cut for her which is also fine, anything to see to this fantastic staging again!. Every other characters casting is perfect in terms of age and requirements.

The truth is being spoken I saw this tweet earlier and agree (mostly). I also felt the same way when Young Frankenstein came over... I could go on about posters and marketing, but I'll refrain from digressing further from Anything Goes.
