sleepflower it was around 2.5hrs with interval last night. It ran 3 hours and 3 minutes tonight including interval! I wonder did they have some performers who weren't there last night? Enjoyable show, though I think I preferred the pre-Christmas version overall. The first act tonight wasn't anything hugely exciting until Nicole Raquel Dennis' great version of The Lady's Improving from The Prom. The second half was much stronger - Idriss Kargbo's Music and the Mirror was worth the ticket price on its own, and Alice Fearn always delivers. Great versions of Waving Through a Window, I'm Here, the Tarzan medley, I'd Give it All for You and From Now On as well, but I am terrible at remembering names without a programme to reference! |

Fab show though rubbish journey home for me. Expected a finish by 22.15 which would have given me ample time to reach Victoria for 22.40 fast train but leaving theatre at 22.35 in heavy rain made that impossible even by taxi.
Took a different route from Charing Cross via Dartford which involved a replacement bus Dartford to Gillingham so added about an hour to journey. However the bus developed a problem ( bang, then noisy engine) on a dark road between railway stations and was taken out of service at the next station. Passengers had to wait for the next bus. Result, home at 01.25 instead of 23.40.
No regrets, these things happen. I'd like to see the Roles We'll Never Play concept become a regular Sunday fixture once a month with Carl Mullaney presenting an ever-changing cast and repertoire. I particularly like the inclusion of mostly lesser known songs in the programme.

2nd concert of the weekend and my last theatre outing on my London theatre binge. What a way to end the trip. Last nights concert was top class, but tonight’s show just blew it out of the water for both performance and atmosphere. It’s just great to be back in a theatre and see some live entertainment and hear live fantastic musicand endless hours of Netflix in an evening. It certainly has done wonders for my own mental health these last few days and I’m sure many others tonight will have the same feeling of being able to get out and about and enjoy this great art form. Like last night it was just great to be an audience without constant phone and chattering people spoiling the evening. With tonight’s concert, there were so many great performances. I mean, who would of thought Sam Tutty singing “There are worse things I could do” and Tom Duern’s version of “Holding Out For A Hero” we’re songs that I didn’t know I needed to have in my life? With other standouts being Billy Luke Nevers version of “I’m Still Here” sent shivers down my spine and Alice Fearn singing “Goodbye” being another. Though it wouldn’t be live theatre without some incident. With thanks to Idriss Kargbo flinging his mic pack across the stage during a dance routine from A Chorus Line song. Though he did recover well thanks to Carl Mullaney’s quick intervention with a hand mike. Two great concerts MC’d brilliantly by Carl Mulllaney and with a wonderful orchestra of 7 led my MD Flynn Sturgeon made for a terrific weekend at the Vauderville. A big shout out to not only the Vauderville’s FOH team but all theatre teams and those in the other cultural areas who have worked miracles to get places back up and running after being shut for so long so we can back to living and enjoying life as it should be. Sam Tutty is a rather talented young man. Just before Christmas I went to Kings Of Broadway and sang Nothings going to harm you from Sweeney and was excellent. |

Oh yes alece10, I thought Sam was very good both in RWNP and DEH. He's got a big future ahead of him in my opinion. It was also great to see and hear the recent graduates get a chance to shine on the WE stage alongside the established stars. The future of WE theatre is looking bright based on what I saw and heard over the 2 concerts. |

alece10 , I’m not a hollyoaks fan but will give it a watch for Sam. I wonder if it’s a short term character given DEH is back later in the year?
