A one-off concert at the Palace Theatre on 7 December which I only found about via What'sOnStage yesterday - don't think there's been a mention on here or did I just miss it ?
Musical theatre "performers singing songs outside their casting bracket"
Unfortunately completely sold out already. Hopefully a second date will be added. Anyone going ?

I did book as soon as I saw the email. These one-offs sell quickly at the best of times, more so now.
Didn't get round to starting a thread, but we could do give a general one to cover one-off concerts etc.

As soon as I saw this mentioned on Facebook I went to the Nimex website but there seemed to be nothing in the stalls and just 1 row in dress and 1 row in upper circle for sale. At first I wondered if they just had an allocation and that was all they had but looks like everyone got in before me. I agree that with so few events going on then when something comes up you need to get in really quickly. I dont mind too much about missing out as I didnt recognise too many names and I have a ticket for The Show Must Go On in November.

Is this not actually at the Apollo Theatre, rather than the Palace? That probably explains why, unlike the Sunday before, and the Sunday after, there are no performances of Jamie on 6 December.
The next scheduled performance of Jamie isn't until the 9th, so if this has sold like hot cakes, there is a slot available for an extra performance.

I can't remember who it was, but I'm sure some incredibly wise person predicted that an extra performance would be added on the Sunday. 😉
Guess what? An extra performance has now been added on Sunday 6 December, at 6.30pm. Tickets still available at all prices.

As things stand it will be my first train journey, first time in London and first show since Love At The Musicals at Cadogan Hall also on a Sunday almost 9 months earlier.

This was just wonderful last night and the safety procedures at the Apollo faultless. The atmosphere was electric, every artiste gave the performance of their career and Carl Mullaney was the perfect choice to host the show as well as perform. The Six song alone was worth the ticket price and we got more than two hours of fabulous entertainment.
Anyone seeing the second and final (sold out) show tonight you're in for a great evening.

Such a great idea. Who sang what? Some of the highlights for me were 6 of the boys doing "Ex Wives" Lauren Byrne & Michael Mather doing a Spring Awakening medley Alice Fearn - Sante Fe (Newsies) Kelly Agbowu - Empty Chairs at Empty Tables

Very much enjoyed this last night. Was sat rather close to one of the "bubbles" which arrived in several small groups and where the individuals involved hadn't seen each other for a while, but that isn't the theatre's fault. Covid-19 precautions were good.
The Six performance was one of the highlights for me, complete with a standing ovation. Chris Howell was excellent in Dance Ten, Looks Three and really showed what a great voice he has. And Billy Nevers really nailed, I Am Changing. But such a lot of great voices and people so happy to be in a theatre (including the very loud crowd).
Quite a lot of musical theatre performers in, although they were more incognito than usual with the masks involved!
Hope they run another one of these soon.

To expand on the above post, this show is now booking at The Vaudeville Theatre on Sat/Sun 22/23 May, 7.30pm, with a different cast and programme each night.
Socially distanced but without the usual restrictions on specific seat grouping so easy to book 1 or more tickets for either performance.
(Could a mod perhaps remove the second part of the current thread title? )

It was excellent in December, I think this will be my first night back at a theatre since then!

As my final show of my 3 show day (note to self - NEVER attempt this again), I’m glad the organisers decided to do another set of concerts. Having been unable to attend last years ones (though I did catch a streamed version) I booked for both days based on board members really positive reviews. With today’s concert it was another joyful night at the theatre. A really great MC (it’s the same guy from last year, Carl Mullaney) and not a single phone went off this evening. What total bliss!
It’s a shame that there wasn’t a programme available to purchase only a digital running order from a QR code, but from the tonight’s line up, there was a nice blend of both seasoned WE performers and those who will be making their debuts in the coming weeks.
It was just so much fun seeing the role reversal songs performed. Plenty of energy both on stage and in tonight’s audience. A great way to kick start the 2021 WE theatre comeback. If tonight’s concert is anything to go by, Sunday’s will be just as great.
It was also nice to see Mark Shenton again after only seeing him a few hours earlier at Rob Houchen’s Cadogan Hall concert sat only a few seats down from me. It’s just a shame he left at the interval. He missed a fantastic Act 2!

In my head when I’ve been planning this trip it sounded fine. In practice, I’m absolutely drained and I’m up early to go and entertain my 2 year old niece in East London for a few hours before 2 more shows on Sunday!

Actually a machine 🔥 I don’t think I’ve ever done a full on 3 show day, I recall the stress of not realising how far the Hammersmith Apollo was from the West End when I included that in a 2 show day! Maybe I’ll add a morning Billionaire Boy performance to a trip!

I've only managed a 3-show day twice but I loved it, it's like the Holy Grail for a theatre fan! It does require booking the next day off work though 🤣

2nd concert of the weekend and my last theatre outing on my London theatre binge. What a way to end the trip. Last nights concert was top class, but tonight’s show just blew it out of the water for both performance and atmosphere. It’s just great to be back in a theatre and see some live entertainment and hear live fantastic musicand endless hours of Netflix in an evening. It certainly has done wonders for my own mental health these last few days and I’m sure many others tonight will have the same feeling of being able to get out and about and enjoy this great art form. Like last night it was just great to be an audience without constant phone and chattering people spoiling the evening.
With tonight’s concert, there were so many great performances. I mean, who would of thought Sam Tutty singing “There are worse things I could do” and Tom Duern’s version of “Holding Out For A Hero” we’re songs that I didn’t know I needed to have in my life? With other standouts being Billy Luke Nevers version of “I’m Still Here” sent shivers down my spine and Alice Fearn singing “Goodbye” being another. Though it wouldn’t be live theatre without some incident. With thanks to Idriss Kargbo flinging his mic pack across the stage during a dance routine from A Chorus Line song. Though he did recover well thanks to Carl Mullaney’s quick intervention with a hand mike.
Two great concerts MC’d brilliantly by Carl Mulllaney and with a wonderful orchestra of 7 led my MD Flynn Sturgeon made for a terrific weekend at the Vauderville.
A big shout out to not only the Vauderville’s FOH team but all theatre teams and those in the other cultural areas who have worked miracles to get places back up and running after being shut for so long so we can back to living and enjoying life as it should be.
